Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this research was to analyze and determine the inflectional morpheme words and their types that form inflectional morphemes in the Encanto film script. Morphology is a field of science that discusses basic words and affixes. One type of morpheme is inflectional morpheme. This research used qualitative descriptive research. The research data was in the form of words formed by inflectional morphemes found in the "Encanto film script". In the analysis of research data, Fromkin and Lieber's theory was used. The data collection technique used in this research was document analysis and researcher used source triangulation method to validate the data. The research results found that there were 54 words formed by inflectional morphemes. only seven were inflectional morphemes, those are 13 third-person singular, 3 past tense, 12 progressive, 1 past participle, 20 plural, 4 possessive and 1 superlative. Meanwhile the dominant type of inflectional morphemes found in Encanto movie script is -s plural. Keywords: Morpheme, Inflectional, Encanto Movie Script
