Abstract

ABSTRAK Hubungan Antara Stigma Sosial Dengan Self Esteem Pada Mantan Penyalahguna Narkoba Oleh : Mutiara Adelia Rosa Mantan penyalahguna narkoba, baik mental maupun fisik, adalah orang yang telah sembuh dari kecanduan narkoba. Seseorang yang telah menggunakan narkoba baik secara mental maupun fisik menimbulkan dampak buruk ketergantungan. Rehabilitasi diperlukan bagi penyalahguna narkoba untuk mengatasi kecanduan. Penyalahguna narkoba yang sedang dalam masa pemulihan menjalani proses yang disebut rehabilitasi, yang mencoba mengubah perilaku mereka dan mempersiapkan mereka untuk reintegrasi ke dalam masyarakat. Mantan penyalahguna narkoba takut dengan dunia luar karena melekatnya stigma negatif masyarakat yang dikenal dengan label “pecandu” terhadap mereka. stigma dapat menghasilkan isu dan mengarah pada penilaian individu yang membuatnya merasa rendah diri, yang mengarah pada klaim yang dibuat atas identitas yang dimiliki orang tersebut. Faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi self esteem mantan penyalahguna narkoba tersebut adala stigma sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara stigma sosial dengan self esteem pada mantan penyalahguna narkoba. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mantan penyalahguna narkoba di Badan Narkotika Nasional Provinsi Lapung, IPWL Rumah Rehabillitasi House Of Serenity (HOS) Bandar Lampung, Panti Rehabilitasi Gangguan Jiwa dan Narkoba Wisma Ataraxis IPWL Sosial, dan Yayasan Sinar Jati Lampung. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian sebanyak 48 mantan penyalahguna narkoba dengan teknik pengambilan sampel total sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan skala psikologi meliputi skala stigma sosial berjumlah 24 aitem (α = 0,866), dan skala self esteem berjumlah 21 aitem (α = 0,812). Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah teknik korelasi product moment dengan bantuan software JASP for windows. Data yang dianalisis menunjukkan hasil R = -0,299, R square = 0,089 dengan taraf signifikan > 0,01 yang menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan negatif antara stigma sosial dengan self esteem pada mantan penyalahguna narkoba. Melihat dari nilai R Square maka stigma sosial memiliki pengaruh sebesar 8,9% terhadap self esteem, dan 91,1% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain di luar penelitian. ABSTRACT The Relationship Between Social Stigma and Self Esteem in Former Drug Abusers By : Pearl Adelia Rosa Former drug abusers, both mental and physical, are people who have recovered from drug addiction. A person who has used drugs both mentally and physically has the negative effects of dependence. Rehabilitation is needed for drug abusers to overcome addiction. Recovering drug abusers undergo a process called rehabilitation, which attempts to change their behavior and prepare them for reintegration into society. Former drug abusers are afraid of the outside world because of the negative stigma attached to them by society, known as "addicts." Stigma can generate issues and lead to judgments about individuals that make them feel inferior, which leads to claims being made about that person's identity. A factor that can influence the self-esteem of former drug abusers is social stigma. This study aims to analyze the relationship between social stigma and self�esteem in former drug abusers. The population in this study were former drug abusers at the National Narcotics Agency of Lapung Province, IPWL House of Serenity (HOS) Rehabilitation Home in Bandar Lampung, Wisma Ataraxis IPWL Social Rehabilitation Home for Mental Disorders and Drugs, and the Sinar Jati Lampung Foundation. The sample used in the research was 48 former drug abusers using a total sampling technique. The data collection technique in this study used a psychological scale including a social stigma scale of 24 items (α = 0.866), and a self-esteem scale of 21 items (α = 0.812). The analysis technique used is the product moment correlation technique with the help of JASP for Windows software. The data analyzed showed the results of R = -0.299, R square = 0.089 with a significance level of > 0.01, which shows that there is a negative relationship between social stigma and self-esteem in former drug abusers. Looking at the R Square value, social stigma has an influence of 8.9% on self-esteem, and the other 91.1% is influenced by other variables outside the research. Keywords: Self Esteem, Social Stigma.
