Abstract

ABSTRACT A literature circle was a reading group consisting of four or five people which are used to improve the students' ability to grasp, analyze, and summarize texts. This research was to find out whether there was a significant influence of using Literature Circles strategy towards students reading comprehension at the second semester of the tenth grade at SMAN 10 Bandar Lampung in academic year 2022/2023. In this research, the researcher used quasi-experimental design. The instrument of this research was multiple choice reading test which consisted of 20 items test. The population of this research was 360 in 10 classes. The researcher used two classes for the sample of research namely experimental class X.2 (36 students) and in control class X.5 (36 students). They were consisted of 72 students. In collecting the data of research, the researcher used pre-test and post-test. The post�test was given to measure the influence of Literature Circle Strategy towards students’ reading comprehension after treatments done. The data were analyzed by using Cronbach Alpha, Normality test, Homogeneity test and Hypothetical test. Keywords: Literature Circle Strategy, Reading Comprehension,Quasi�Experimental
