Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan self efficacy dalam pembelajaran matematika merupakan kemampuan yang perlu dikuasai oleh peserta didik guna menunjang proses belajar dan menyelesaikan berbagai permasalahan matematika. Berdasarkan data yang dilihat dari hasil pra penelitian bahwa masih rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan self efficacy pada peserta didik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Fan-N-Pick dengan strategi everyone is a teacher here terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan self efficacy peserta didik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan ialah quasi eksperimen design dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Fan-N-Pick dengan strategi everyone is a teacher here terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan self efficacy peserta didik. Populasi dari penelitian ini yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah cluster random sampling. Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu uji MANOVA. Hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Fan-N-Pick dengan strategi everyone is a teacher here terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan self efficacy peserta didik. Dibuktikan dari hasil uji lanjutan yaitu kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Fan-N-Pick dengan strategi everyone is a teacher here lebih baik daripada kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Fan-N-Pick dan Direct Instruction. Hal tersebut dikarenakan peserta didik membuat soal secara mandiri, kemudian soal diacak dan diselesaikan secara bergiliran melalui kegiatan menjawab dan menjelaskan penyelesaian sesuai indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, sehingga kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik dapat meningkat. Selain itu, kegiatan membuat dan mempresentasikan soal dapat meningkatkan rasa percaya diri pada kemampuan pembelajaran matematika peserta didik. ABSTRACT Mathematical problem solving ability and self efficacy are important skills that need to be developed by students in order to support the learning process and solve various mathematical problems based on the preliminary research data, it was found that students’ mathematical problem solving ability and self efficacy are still relatively low. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of the Fan-N-Pick learning model combined with the everyone is a teacher here strategy on students mathematical problem solving ability and self efficacy. This study used quasi experimental design, the population of this study consisted of all VIII grade students. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The data were analyzed using the MANOVA test. The results of the analysis showed that there is a significant effect of the Fan-N-Pick learning model combined with the everyone is a teacher here strategy on students’ mathematical problem solving ability and self efficacy. Furthermore, the follow up test indicated that the class taught using the Fan-N-Pick learning model with the everyone is a teacher here strategy performed better than the class taught using the Fan-N-Pick model and direct instruction. This was because students independently created questions, which were then randomized and solved in turn through activities of answering and explaining solutions based on the indicators of mathematical problem solving ability, thereby improving students mathematical problem solving skills. In addition, the activities of creating and presenting questions were able to increase students’ self efficacy in their mathematics learning abilities.
