Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Round Robin Brainstorming (RRB) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan komunikasi matematis siswa ditinjau berdasarkan self-efficacy. Penelitian ini di laksanakan di SMP Negeri 23 Bandar Lampung menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu (quasy experiment). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP kelas VIII, sedangkan sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VIII.G dan VIII.H yang ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes kemampuan berpikir kritis, tes komunikasi matematis, serta angket self-efficacy. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis statistik inferensial, yaitu uji MANOVA dua arah (two way manova). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis dan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Round Robin Brainstorming (RRB) Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa yang menggunakan model konvensional. Kemampuan berpikir kritis dan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memiliki selfefficacy tinggi lebih baik dari pada siswa yang memiliki self-efficacy sedang maupun rendah. Serta terdapat interaksi antara model Round Robin Brainstorming (RRB) dengan self-efficacy siswa terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan komunikasi matematis. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Round Robin Brainstorming (RRB) efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan memperhatikan tingkat self-efficacy yang dimiliki siswa. ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the effect of the cooperative learning model of the Round Robin Brainstorming (RRB) type on students’ critical thinking skills and mathematical communication skills in terms of self-efficacy. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 23 Bandar Lampung using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. The population of this study consisted of all eighth-grade students, while the samples were students of classes VIII.G and VIII.H, selected using cluster random sampling technique. The research instruments included a critical thinking skills test, a mathematical communication skills test, and a self-efficacy questionnaire. The data were analyzed using inferential statistical analysis, namely the two-way MANOVA test. The results of the study indicate that students taught using the Round Robin Brainstorming (RRB) learning model demonstrated better critical thinking and mathematical communication skills compared to those taught using conventional learning models. In addition, students with high self-efficacy showed better critical thinking and mathematical communication skills than those with moderate and low self-efficacy. Furthermore, there was an interaction between the Round Robin Brainstorming (RRB) learning model and students’ self-efficacy on critical thinking and mathematical communication skills. It can be concluded that the implementation of the cooperative learning model of the Round Robin Brainstorming (RRB) type is effective in improving students’ critical thinking and mathematical communication skills by considering students’ levels of self-efficacy.
