Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang perlu dikembangkan oleh peserta didik dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Etno-STEM berbasis Contextual terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik, dan pengaruh self efficacy terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik, serta interaksi antara pendekatan Etno-STEM dan self efficacy terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah marermatis peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan Quasi Experiment Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 29 Bandar Lampung, Bandar Lampung. Sampel penelitian ini diambil dengam menggunakan teknik simple random sampling antar kelas dengan sampel pada kelompok eksperimen sebanyak 55 peserta didik dan kelompok kontrol sebanyak 53 peserta didik. Instrument yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan angket serta dengan uji prasyarat dan uji hipotesis anova dua jalan. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: 1) Terdapat pengaruh Etno-STEM berbasis Contextual terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik; 2) Terdapat pengaruh self efficacy terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik; dan 3) Tidak terdapat interaksi antara pendekatan Etno-STEM berbasis Contextual dan self efficacy terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik. ABSTRACT Mathematical problem-solving ability is one of the competencies that needs to be developed by students in mathematics learning. This study aims to determine the effect of Contextual-based Ethno-STEM on students' mathematical problem-solving ability, the effect of self-efficacy on students' mathematical problem-solving ability, and the interaction between the Ethno-STEM approach and self-efficacy on students' mathematical problem-solving ability. This research employed a Quasi-Experiment Design. The population in this study was eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 29 Bandar Lampung, Bandar Lampung. The research sample was taken using a simple random sampling technique across classes, with the experimental group consisting of 55 students and the control group consisting of 53 students. The instruments used for data collection were tests and questionnaires, followed by prerequisite tests and a two-way ANOVA hypothesis test. The results obtained in this study are as follows: 1) There is an effect of Contextual-based Ethno-STEM on students' mathematical problem-solving ability; 2) There is an effect of self-efficacy on students' mathematical problem-solving ability; and 3) There is no interaction between the Contextual-based Ethno-STEM approach and self-efficacy on students' mathematical problem-solving ability.
