Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan representasi matematis dan self confidence merupakan aspek penting dalam mendukung keberhasilan peserta didik pada pembelajaran matematika. Hasil pra penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan representasi matematis dan self confidence peserta didik masih tergolong rendah, hal tersebut menjadi landasan bagi peneliti untuk melaksanakan penelitian dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Situation-Based Learning (SBL) berbantuan ClassPoint. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Situation-Based Learning (SBL) berbantuan ClassPoint terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis dan self confidence. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian quasi experimental. Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IX SMP Al-Huda Jatiagung yang berjumlah 5 kelas. Sampel penelitian dipilih menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling yang menghasilkan dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen menggunakan model SBL berbantuan ClassPoint dan kelas kontrol menggunakan model direct instruction. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari tes kemampuan representasi matematis berbentuk soal esai dan angket self confidence. Analisis data menggunakan uji prasyarat yang meliputi normalitas dan homogenitas kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji hipotesis menggunakan Manova pada taraf signifikan 5% dan diperoleh kesimpulan (1) terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Situation-Based Learning (SBL) berbantuan ClassPoint terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis dan self confidence, (2) terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Situation-Based Learning (SBL) berbantuan ClassPoint terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis, dan (3) terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Situation Based Learning (SBL) berbantuan ClassPoint terhadap self confidence. Kata Kunci : Model Pembelajaran Situation-Based Learning, ClassPoint, Kemampuan Representasi Matematis, Self Confidence. ii ABSTRACT The ability of mathematical representation and self confidence is an important aspect of supporting students' success in mathematical learning. Pre-research results show that students' mathematical representation and self-confidence skills are still relatively low, providing a basis for researchers to conduct research using a ClassPoint-assisted Situation-Based Learning (SBL) learning model. The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of the ClassPoint assisted Situation-Based Learning (SBL) learning model on mathematical representation and self confidence capabilities. The research method used is quantitative research with a quasi experimental type of research. The study population is class IX students of Al-Huda Jatiagung Junior High School, which is 5 classes. The study samples were selected using random cluster sampling techniques that resulted in two classes: the experimental class using the class-assisted SBL model and the control class using the direct instruction model. The research instrument consists of a mathematical representation ability test in the form of essay problems and self confidence lift. Analysis of the data using prerequisite tests including normality and homogeneity then proceeded with hypothesis tests using Manova at 5% significance and concluded (1) there was an effect of ClassPoint-assisted Situation-Based Learning (SBL) learning models on mathematical representation and self-confidence capabilities, and it was found that the data used in the study was based on the study. (2) ClassPoint-assisted Situation-Based Learning (SBL) model influence on mathematical representation capabilities, and (3) ClassPoint assisted Situation-Based Learning (SBL) model influence on self confidence.
