Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis merupakan bagian yang penting dalam pembelajaran matematika. berdasarkan hasil pra penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung masih rendah. Berdasarkan laporan PISA tahun 2022 kemampuan metamatika peserta didik Indonesia mengalami penurunan dibandingkan dengan hasil sebelumnya. Skor rata-rata matematika Indonesia pada PISA 2022 adalah 366, turun 13 poin dari skor 379 pada tahun 2018. Meskipun peringkat Indonesia naik 5 posisi, penurunan skor ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika peserta didik Indonesia masih memerlukan perhatian serius. Penelitian ini Bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut maka perlu adanya pengunaan model pembelajaran yang menarik. Selain model pembelajaran ada faktor lain yang menunjang kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik. Salah satunya self efficacy. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif jenis Quasi Experimental Desagn. Subyek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung dengan jumlah populasi 68 peserta didik. Sempel penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan model CTL dan kelas VIII C sebagai kelas kontrol dengan menggunakan model direct instruction. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket dan tes. Pengujian hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji ANOVA dua arah (Two Way Anova). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa 1) Terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran CTL terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. 2) Terdapat pengaruh antara peserta didik dengan self efficacy tinggi, sedang dan rendah terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. 3) terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran CTL dengan self efiicacy terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Preliminary research indicates that the mathematical problem-solving ability of eighth-grade students at SMP Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung remains low. According to the 2022 PISA report, Indonesian students' mathematics performance has declined compared to previous results. The average mathematics score of Indonesian students in PISA 2022 was 366, down by 13 points from 379 in 2018. Although Indonesia’s rank improved by five positions, the decrease in score highlights the need for serious attention to students’ mathematical problem-solving skills. To address this issue, engaging learning models are needed. In addition to learning models, other factors such as self-efficacy also play a crucial role in supporting students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities. This study is a quantitative research with a Quasi-Experimental Design. The research subjects were eighth-grade students of SMP Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung, totaling 68 students. The sample consisted of class VIII A as the experimental class applying the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model, and class VIII C as the control class using the Direct Instruction model. Data collection techniques used in the study were questionnaires and tests. The hypothesis was tested using a two-way ANOVA. Based on the results and discussion, the following conclusions were drawn: (1) There is a significant effect of the CTL learning model on students' mathematical problem-solving ability. (2) There is a significant effect of self-efficacy levels (high, medium, and low) on students' mathematical problem-solving ability. (3) There is a significant interaction between the CTL learning model and self efficacy in influencing students’ mathematical problem-solving ability.
