Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesalahan dan faktor-faktor apa saja yang menyebabkan kesalahan saat mengerjakan soal pada materi SPLTV pada siswa di sekolah. Fokus penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi penyebab utama kesalahan saat mengerjakan soal dengan menggunakan Prosedur Newman serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Penelitian dilakukan di SMAN 13 Bandar Lampung dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X E3 sebanyak 3 siswa diambil dari masing-masing setiap gaya belajar visul, auditory dan kinestetik. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan tes soal dengan analisis data menggunakan software ATLAS.ti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kesalahan siswa dalam mengerjakan soal SPLTV adalah Kesalahan membaca, Kesalahan memahami soal, Kesalahan transformasi, Kesalahan keterampilan proses, Kesalahan penulisan jawaban akhir, Kesalahan dalam mengatur waktu, Kesalahan konsep dasar. Kemudian, Faktor yang menyebabkan kesalahan dalam mengerjakan soal SPLTV ada dua. Faktor internal yaitu meliputi minat, motivasi, gaya belajar, pemahaman konsep dasar. Faktor eksternal yaitu lingkungan dan keluarga. Kata Kunci: Analisis Kesalahan , Prosedur Newman, Gaya Belajar. ii ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze errors and the factors that contribute to mistakes when solving problems related to the SPLTV (Three-Variable Linear Equation System) among students in schools. The focus of this research is to identify the primary causes of errors using the Newman Procedure and the influencing factors. The study was conducted at SMAN 13 Bandar Lampung using a qualitative descriptive method. The subjects of this study were three tenth-grade students from class X E3, selected based on different learning styles: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and problem-solving tests, with data analysis conducted using ATLAS.ti software. The results of the study indicate that students' errors in solving SPLTV problems include reading errors, comprehension errors, transformation errors, process skill errors, final answer writing errors, time management errors, and basic concept errors. Furthermore, the factors contributing to these errors are categorized into two : Internal factors, including interest, motivation, learning styles, and basic concept understanding.
