Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan pemahaman konsep dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika masih tergolong sangat rendah. Karena kebanyakan peserta didik menganggap pelajaran matematika rumit, mengerikan, dan menjenuhkan hal tersebut menjadikan peserta didik menjadi kurang semangat dalam belajar matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Diskursus Multy Reprecentacy (DMR) terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep. (2) Untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh self confidence terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep. (3) Untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat interaksi model pembelajaran Diskursus Multy Reprecentacy (DMR) dan self confidence terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasi Eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Bangun Rejo Lampung Tengah dengan teknik simple purposive sampling terpilih kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol. Data hasil angket dan pemahaman konsep dianalisis menggunakan uji analisis varians dua jalan dengan sel tak sama. Berdasarkan analisis data ditemukan hasil-hasil sebagai berikut (1) Terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran DMR terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis. (2) Terdapat pengaruh self confidence terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis. (3) Terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran DMR dan self confidence terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis. Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Diskursus Multy Reprecentacy (DMR), Pemahaman Konsep, Self-Confidence ii ABSTRACT The ability to understand concepts in solving mathematical problems is still considered very low. Most students perceive mathematics as complicated, frightening, and tedious, which results in a lack of enthusiasm for learning the subject. The objectives of this study are: (1) To determine whether there is an effect of the Discourse Multi-Representational (DMR) learning model on improving conceptual understanding; (2) To find out whether self-confidence influences the improvement of conceptual understanding; (3) To examine whether there is an interaction between the DMR learning model and self-confidence in enhancing conceptual understanding. This study is a quasi-experimental research. The population consisted of all 7th-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Bangun Rejo, Central Lampung. Using a simple purposive sampling technique, class VIII A was selected as the experimental class and class VIII B as the control class. Data from questionnaires and conceptual understanding tests were analyzed using two-way ANOVA with unequal cells. Based on the data analysis, the results are as follows: (1) There is an effect of the DMR learning model on improving mathematical conceptual understanding; (2) There is an effect of self-confidence on improving mathematical conceptual understanding; (3) There is an interaction between the DMR learning model and self-confidence in improving mathematical conceptual understanding.
