Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan penalaran matematis dan komunikasi matematis merupakan hal yang penting dan perlu dimiliki peserta didik ketika belajar matematika. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan penalaran matematis dan komunikasi matematis peserta didik di SMP N 1 Labuhan Raru, hal ini sesuai dengan hasil prapenelitian yang menunjukkan bahwa banyak peserta didik yang nilainya dibawah KKM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran self directed learning berbantuan media pembelajaran powtoon terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik SMP. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan Quasy Experiment Design. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII SMP N 1 Labuhan Ratu. Teknik pengambilan sampelnya dengan Cluster Random Sampling dengan instrument penelitian berupa tes uraian. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji MANOVA. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan MANOVA dengan signifikansi 0,05 diperoleh bahwa (1) Terdapat pengaruh metode pembelajaran self directed learning berbantuan media pembelajaran powtoon terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik SMP. (2) Terdapat pengaruh metode pembelajaran self directed learning berbantuan media pembelajaran powtoon terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik SMP. (3) Terdapat pengaruh metode pembelajaran self directed learning berbantuan media pembelajaran powtoon terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik SMP. Kata Kunci: Metode Pembelajaran Self Directed Learning, Media Pembelajaran Powtoon, Kemampuan Penalaran Matematis, Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis. iv ABSTRACT Mathematical reasoning and mathematical communication skills are important and need to be possessed by students when learning mathematics. This research is motivated by the low mathematical reasoning and mathematical communication skills of students at SMP N 1 Labuhan Raru, this is in accordance with the results of the pre-research which showed that many students' scores were below the KKM. This study aims to determine the effect of the self-directed learning method assisted by powtoon learning media on the mathematical reasoning and mathematical communication skills of junior high school students. This type of research is a Quasy Experiment Design. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP N 1 Labuhan Ratu. The sampling technique was Cluster Random Sampling with a research instrument in the form of a descriptive test. The data analysis technique used in this study was the MANOVA test. Hypothesis testing using MANOVA with a significance of 0.05 obtained that (1) There is an influence of the self-directed learning method assisted by powtoon learning media on the mathematical reasoning ability and mathematical communication ability of junior high school students. (2) There is an influence of the self-directed learning method assisted by powtoon learning media on the mathematical reasoning ability of junior high school students. (3) There is an influence of the self-directed learning method assisted by powtoon learning media on the mathematical communication ability of junior high school students.
