Abstract

Kata kunci : Model Pembelajaran REMAP-TPS, Kemampuan Representasi Matematis, Gender. iii ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the low ability of mathematical representation. Based on pre-research results which showed that 64% of students scored below the KKM for mathematical representation ability. So researchers are interested in implementing a learning model that can improve mathematical representation abilities in terms of gender. So the aim of this research is to determine the effect of the REMAP-TPS learning model on mathematical representation abilities in terms of gender. This type of research uses a quasi experimental design. The population of this study were students at SMP Negeri 12 Bandar Lampung, with a sampling technique, namely cluster random sampling. The samples obtained were class VIII A as an experimental class treated with the influence of the REMAP-TPS learning model, and class VIII B as a control class with an expository learning model. This research uses tests as a data collection technique, with the data analysis used being normality and homogeneity tests. Hypothesis testing in this research uses the Two-Way Anova test. Data analysis in this study concluded that (1) there was an influence between the Reading Concept Map Think Pair Share (REMAP-TPS) learning model on students' mathematical representation abilities, (2) there was an influence of students' gender on mathematical representation abilities, (3) no There is an interaction between the Reading Concept Map Think Pair Share (REMAP-TPS) learning model and gender on mathematical representation abilities. Keywords: REMAP-TPS Learning Model, Representation Ability Mathematics, Gender.
