Abstract

ABSTRAK Memaknai dan mempresentasikan cara penyelesaian suatu permasalahan merupakan kemampuan yang harus dimiliki setiap orang. Penyelesaian masalah adalah suatu proses menerima tantangan dan usaha menyelesaikannya sesuai dengan bagaimana cara seseorang mempresentasikan masalah tersebut. Berdasarkan pra-penelitian yang telah dilakukan di SMP Negeri 2 Belitang Madang Raya kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik masih terbilang rendah. Ada 79,5% peserta didik yang mendapatkan nilai di bawah KKM. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Write Pair Switch terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik (2) Untuk mengetahui pengaruh self confidence terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik (3) Untuk mengetahui interaksi model pembelajaran Write Pair Switch (WPS) dengan self confidence terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian quasy experimental design dan sampelnya adalah siswa kelas VIII-1 dan VIII-2 SMP Negeri 2 Belitang Madang Raya. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang diterapkan adalah cluster random sampling dengan materi bangun ruang sisi datar. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah tes kemampuan penalaran matematis dan angket self confidence. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan anova dua arah (Two Way anova), dengan taraf signifikansi 5% diperoleh (1) Terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Write Pair Switch terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik (2) Terdapat pengaruh self confidence terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik (3) Tidak terdapat interaksi model pembelajaran Write Pair Switch (WPS) dengan self confidence terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis. Kata Kunci : Model Pembelajaran Write Pair Switch, self confidence dan kemampuan penalaran matematis. iv ABSTRACT Interpreting and presenting how to solve a problem is an ability that everyone must have. Problem solving is the process of accepting challenges and trying to solve them according to how one presents the problem. Based on pre-research conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Belitang Madang Raya, students' critical thinking skills are still relatively low. There are 79,5% of students who get scores below the KKM. This study aims (1) to determine the effect of a Write Pair Switch model on students' mathematical reasoning ability (2) To determine the effect of the self confidence on students' mathematical reasoning ability (3) To find out the interaction of the Write Pair Switch (WPS) learning model with self-confidence on mathematical reasoning skills. This study used a quasi-experimental design, and the samples were students of classes VIII-1 and VIII-2 of SMP Negeri 2 Belitang Madang Raya. The sampling technique applied was cluster random sampling with build a flat side space material. The instruments used to collect data were a mathematical reasoning ability test and a self�confidence questionnaire. Hypothesis checking using analysis of Two Way anova with a significance level of 5% obtained (1) There is an effect of the Write Pair Switch model on mathematical reasoning ability. (2) There is an effect of the self confidence on students' mathematical reasoning ability (3) There was no interaction between the Write Pair Switch (WPS) learning model and self-confidence on mathematical reasoning skills. keywords : Write Pair Switch (WPS) model, self-confidence and mathematical reasoning skills.
