Abstract

ABSTRAK Komunikasi matematis dan self efficacy dalam pembelajaran matematika merupakan suatu kemampuan yang perlu dikuasi oleh setiap peserta didik guna menunjang dalam proses belajar dan menyelesaikan berbagai permasalahan matematika. Berdasarkan data yang dilihat dari hasil pra penelitian dan dari hasil wawancara dengan guru mata pelajaran matematika yang bersangkutan bahwa masih rendahnya komunikasi matematis dan self efficacy peserta didik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran SIMAS ERIC terhadap komunikasi matematis dan self efficacy peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan quasi experimen design. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 6 Metro, teknik pengambilan sampel dengan teknik acak kelas atau cluster random sampling. Sampel yang diperoleh yaitu kelas VIII-8 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan perlakuan model pembelajaran SIMAS ERIC dan kelas VIII-5 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan perlakuan model pembelajaran konvensional (PBL). Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu uji MANOVA. Hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran SIMAS ERIC terhadap komunikasi matematis dan self efficacy peserta didik. Kata kunci : Model Pembelajaran SIMAS ERIC, komunikasi matematis, dan self efficacy. iv ABSTRACT Mathematical communication and self efficacy in learning mathematics is an ability that needs to be mastered by each student to support the learning process and solve various mathematical problems. Based on the data seen from the results of pre research and from the results of interviews with the mathematics teacher concerned, it was found that the students' mathematical communication and self efficacy were still low. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the SIMAS ERIC learning model on students' mathematical communication and self efficacy. This type of research uses a quasi experimental design. The population in this study were all class VIII students of SMPN 6 Metro. The sampling technique was random class or cluster random sampling. The samples obtained were class VIII-8 as the experimental class treated with the SIMAS ERIC learning model and class VIII-5 as the control class treated with the conventional learning model (PBL). The analysis used in this study is the MANOVA test. The results of the analysis can be concluded that there is an influence of the SIMAS ERIC learning model on students' mathematical communication and self efficacy.
