Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis pada pembelajaran matematika merupakan suatu hal yang perlu dikuasai oleh setiap siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dan menyelesaikan berbagai permasalahan matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Advance Organizer dan gaya belajar terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada pokok bahasan materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis peleitian quasy experiment design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kotagajah, pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling, kemudian diperoleh kelas VIII A sebagai kelas kontrol dan VIII B sebagai kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Advance Organizer berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis, gaya belajar berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis, dan tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran Advance Organizer dan gaya belajar terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis. Kata Kunci: Advance Organizer, Gaya Belajar, Pemahaman Konsep Matematis iv ABSTRACT The ability to understand methematical concepts in learning mathematics is something that needs to be mastered by every student in the learning process and solving various mathematical problems. This study aims to determine the effect of the Advance Organizer learning model and learning style on the ability to understand student’s mathematical concepts on the subject matter Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV). This study uses a quantitative method with a quasy experimental design research type. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kotagajah, sampling using cluster random sampling technique, then obtained class VIII A as the control class and VIII B as the experimental class. The result of the study show that the Advance Organizer learning model influences the ability to understand mathematical concepts, learning style affect the ability to understand mathematical concepts, and there is no interaction between the Advance Organizer and learning style to the ability to understand mathematical concepts.
