Abstract

ABSTRAK Representasi matematis dan berpikir kritis dalam pembelajaran matematika merupakan kemampuan yang harus dimiliki oleh peserta didik untuk dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan matematika. Berdasarkan hasil pra penelitian yang dilaksanakan di UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Pasir Sakti kemampuan representasi matematis dan berpikir kritis peserta didik masih tergolong rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran ECIRR terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis dan berpikir kritis berdasarkan adversity quotient peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dan jenis penelitan quasi eksperimental design. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas VII UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Pasir Sakti, teknik sampel yang digunakan yaitu cluster random sampling. Sampel yang diperoleh kelas VII.3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan perlakuan model pembelajaran ECIRR dan kelas VII.4 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan perlakuan model pembelajaran direct instruction. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes, angket, dokumentasi dan observasi. Analisis yang digunakan yaitu two way MANOVA dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Berdasarkann hasil analisis penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran ECIRR terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis dan berpikir kritis berdasarkan adversity quotient peserta didik. Kata kunci : Model Pembelajaran ECIRR, Kemampuan Representasi Matematis, Berpiki Kritis dan Adversity Quotient. iii ABSTRACT Mathematical representation and critical thinking in mathematics learning are abilities that students must have to be able to solve mathematical problems. Based on the results of pre-research carried out at UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Pasir Sakti, students' mathematical representation and critical thinking abilities are still relatively low. This research aims to determine the effect of the ECIRR learning model on mathematical representation and critical thinking abilities based on students' adversity quotient. This research uses a quantitative research approach and a quasi-experimental design type of research. The population of this study was all students in class VII UPTD of SMP Negeri 1 Pasir Sakti. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The samples obtained were class VII.3 as an experimental class with ECIRR learning model treatment and class VII.4 as a control class with direct instruction learning model treatment. Data collection techniques include tests, questionnaires, documentation and observation. The analysis used was two way MANOVA with a significance level of 5%. Based on the results of the research analysis, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the ECIRR learning model on mathematical representation and critical thinking abilities based on students' adversity quotient.
