Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran MURDER (Mood, Understand, Recall, Digest, Expand, Review) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan pemahaman konsep matematis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasy Eksperimental Design. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 5 Pringsewu. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Cluster Random Sampling. Adapun sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VIII 4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII 5 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas dengan uji Liliefors dan uji homogenitas menggunakan uji Bartlett, diperoleh bahwa data hasil tes dari kedua kelompok tersebut berdistribusi normal dan homogen, sehingga untuk pengujian hipotesis dapat menggunakan uji manova. Hasil penelitian pada taraf signifikan 5% menunjukkan bahwa : (1) terdapat pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran MURDER terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa SMP Negeri 5 Pringsewu. Model pembelajaran MURDER menghasilkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan pemahaman konsep matematis yang lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran model ekspositori, (2) terdapat pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran MURDER terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa SMP Negeri 5 Pringsewu jika dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran model ekspositori, (3) terdapat pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran MURDER terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa SMP Negeri 5 Pringsewu jika dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran model ekspositori. Sehingga diperoleh hasil bahwa model pembelajaran MURDER memberikan hasil yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran ekspositori. This type of research was Quasy Experimental Design. The population in this study were all VIII grade students at SMP Negeri 5 Pringsewu. The sampling technique in this study used Cluster Random Sampling. The samples in this study were students of class VIII 4 as the experimental class and students of class VIII 5 as the control class. The data analysis technique used the normality test with the Liliefors test and the homogeneity test using the Bartlett test, it was found that the test data from the two groups were normally distributed and homogeneous, so that for hypothesis testing, the manova test could be used. The result of the study at a significant level of 5% showed that: (1) there is an effect of the application of the MURDER learning model on critical thinking skills and understanding of mathematical concepts of SMP Negeri 5 Pringsewu students. Murder learning model produces better critical thinking skills and understanding of mathematical concepts when compared to expository model learning (2) there is an effect of the application of the MURDER learning model on mathematical critical thinking skill of SMP Negeri 5 Pringsewu students when compared to expository model learning, (3) there is an effect of the application of the MURDER learning model on the ability to understand mathematical concepts of SMP Negeri 5 Pringsewu students when compared to expository model learning. So that the results obtained that MURDER learning model gives better results than expository learning.
