Abstract

ABSTRAK Kepercayaan diri merupakan salah satu faktor yang paling menentukan dalam komunikasi interpersonal. Jika seseorang memiliki kepercayaan diri yang baik maka ia dapat melakukan sesuatu sesuai dengan tujuan nya. Kemudian jika ia mengalami kegagalan maka ia akan terus mencoba nya lagi, tetapi jika seseorang mengalami kurang nya rasa kepercayaan diri maka ia akan merasa sedih dan putus asa, dan memandang buruk diri nya. Dari masalah-masalah yang di alami oleh peserta didik dalam berkomunikasi akan menyebab kan peserta didik kurang kepercayaan diri dan akan cenderung mengalami kesulitan dalam melakukan komunikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kepercayaan diri dengan tingkat komunikasi interpersonal pada peserta didik SMK Negeri 1 Kebun Tebu Lampung Barat. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian asosiatif dengan menggunakan desain korelasional dengan rumus perhitungan Product Moment. Sedangkan populasi yang digunakan ialahnsejumlah 806 jiwa, dan sampel yang diteliti sebanyak 89 sampel dengan teknik perhitungan slovin. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah kepercayaan diri (X) dan komunikasi interpersonal (Y). Berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang dilakukan,hasil penelitian ini ialah; terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara variabel kepercayaan diri dengan variabel komunikasi interpersonal pada setiap peserta didik SMK N 1 Kebun tebu Lampung Barat dengan tingkat korelasi sedang diantara kedua variabelnya yang menandakan kepercayaan diri dari setiap peserta didik memiliki hubungan dengan taraf sedang kepada tingkat kemampuan interpersonal dari Peserta didik-Peserta didik tersebut. Solusi yang diberikan oleh peneliti kepada para peserta didik hendaknya dalam melakukan tindakan sosial atau interaksi sosial haruslah dengan penuh percaya diri dengan sikap yang bertanggung jawab. Perlu adanya juga penanganan yang tepat yang diberikan oleh guru pembimbing konseling untuk menumbuhkan rasa kepercayaan diri seorang peserta didik. If a person has good self-confidence then can does something according to his goals. Then if he experiences failure then they will keep trying again, but if a person experiences a lack of self-confidence then they will felt sad and hopeless, and look down on himself. From the problems experienced by students in communicating, it will cause students to lack self�confidence and will tend to have difficulty in communicating. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-confidence and the level of interpersonal communication in students of SMK Negeri 1 Kebun Tebu, West Lampung. In this study, the author uses quantitative research methods with associative research types using a correlational design with the Product Moment calculation formula. While the population used is 806 people, and the sample studied is 89 samples with the slovin calculation technique. The variables used in this study are self�confidence (X) and interpersonal communication (Y). Based on the results of the tests carried out, the results of this study are; there is a positive and significant relationship between the variables of self-confidence and interpersonal communication variables in each student of SMK N 1 Kebun Tebu, West Lampung with a moderate level of correlation between the two variables which indicates the confidence of each student has a relationship with a moderate level to the level of interpersonal ability of These students. The solution provided by researchers to students should be in carrying out social actions or social interactions must be confident with a responsible attitude. There is also a need for proper handling given by the counseling guidance teacher to foster a sense of self-confidence of a student. Keywords: Self Confidence, Interpersonal Communication, Learners
