Abstract

Abstrak: Peran Majelis Taklim dalam Pemberdayaan Perempuan di Kota Bandar Lampung Oleh: Andi Eka Putra Disertasi ini mengangkat peran majelis taklim dalam pemberdayaan perempuan di kota Bandar Lampung. Tujuan penelitian mengungkap secara kritis peran majelis dilihat dari tugas pokok dan fungsinya serta program kegiatan yang diselenggarakan. Manfaat penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan rekomendasi dalam penyusunan kebijakan dan penyempurnaan program pemberdayaan masyarakat Islam. Penelitian ini berparadigma ilmu-ilmu sosial dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis. Sumber data yang digunakan yakni sumber primer yang berupa data yang diperoleh dari lapangan dan sumber data sekunder yang berasal dari hasil penelitian serta bahan kepustakaan. Proses pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi dan FGD yang melibatkan jamaah majelis taklim. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa telah terjadi proses transformasi peran majelis taklim dari yang tradisional ke yang modern, dari lembaga pengajian keagamaan bertransformasi sebagai lembaga swadaya masyarakat yang melakukan perubahan sosial, mendorong partisipasi perempuan di bidang keagamaan, ekonomi, dan sosial. Sejak aktif di majelis taklim para perempuan memiliki posisi tawar di dalam keluarga, di dalam masyarakat, dan dengan pemerintah di tingkat kelurahan dan kecamatan. Disertasi ini mendukung anggapan bahwa keberadaan majelis taklim dapat ditransformasikan sebagai wadah bagi gerakan sosial Islam. The purpose of the research is to critically reveal the role of majelis taklim in terms of its main tasks and functions as well as the program of activities held.The benefits of this research are expected to be used as recommendations in formulating policies and improving Islamic community empowerment programs. This research is a social sciences paradigm with a descriptive�analytical approach. The data sources used are primary sources in the form of data obtained from the field and secondary data sources derived from research results and library materials.The process of collecting data by observing, interviewing, studying documentation and FGD involving members of majelis taklim. The results of the study conclude that there has been a process of transformation of the role of majelis taklimfrom the traditional to the modern, from the religious study institution to the transformation as a non�governmental organization that carries out social change, encouraging women's participation in the religious, economic, and social fields.Since being active inmajelis taklim, women have a bargaining position within the family, within the community, and with the government at the sub-district and village levels. This dissertation supports the notion that the existence of a majelis taklimcan be transformed as a forum for Islamic social movements.
