Abstract

ABSTRAK Indonesia merupakan negara yang memiliki hutan tropis yang luas. Salah satu hutan yang ada di Indonesia yaitu Hutan Lindung Pematang Kubuato. Hutan Lindung Pematang Kubuato merupakan hutan pegunungan yang memiliki ketinggian 1.180 mdpl , terletak di Kecamatan Padang cermin dan Kecamatan Punduh Pidada Kabupaten Pesawaran Provinsi Lampung. Hutan ini memiliki luas ±7.050 Ha. Hutan Lindung Pematang Kubuato menyimpan keanekaragaman hayati yang cukup tinggi, salah satu tumbuhan yang banyak tumbuh yaitu tumbuhan lumut. Tumbuhan lumut merupakan tumbuhan tingkat rendah yang belum dapat dibedakan antara akar, batang, dan daun, memiliki habitat tumbuh di tanah, kayu, dan bebatuan. Tumbuhan lumut memiliki fungsi bagi ekosistem sebagai penghambat hilangnya kelembapan atau nutrien penting pada suatu ekosistem dan membantu menahan erosi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengidentifikasi tumbuhan lumut (bryophyta) di Hutan Lindung Pematang Kubuato Kecamatan Punduh Pidada Kabupaten Pesawaran Provinsi Lampung. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2021, jenis penelitian yang di gunakan yaitu metode jelajah alam atau menjelajahi lokasi tempat penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian di peroleh 8 jenis tumbuhan lumut yaitu Bryum capillare, Thuidium sp., Ectropothecium sp., hyophila involuta, Fissidens viridulus, Dumortiera hirsuta, Marchantia polymorpa, Riccia sorocarpa. Terdiri dari 2 kelas yaitu lumut daun dan hati. Kata Kunci : Bryophyta, Hutan Lindung Pematang Kubuato, Tumbuhan Lumut iii ABSTRACT Indonesia is a country that has a large tropical forest. Pematang Kubuato Protection Forest is a mountain forest with an altitude of 1,180 meters above sea level, located in Padang Cermin District and Punduh Pidada District, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province. This forest has an area of ±7.050 Ha. Pematang Kubuato Protection Forest has a fairly high biodiversity, one of the plants that grows a lot is moss. Moss plants are low-level plants that cannot be distinguished between roots, stems, and leaves, and have a habitat to grow on soil, wood, and rocks. Moss plants have a function for the ecosystem as a barrier to the loss of moisture or important nutrients in a ecosystem and help resist erosion. The purpose of this study was to identify mosses (bryophyta) in Pematang Kubuato Protection Forest, Punduh Pidada District, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province. The research was carried out in March 2021, the type of research used was the nature roaming method or exploring the location of the research place. The results of the study obtained 8 types of mosses, namely Bryum capillare, Thuidium sp., Ectropothecium sp., Hyophila involuta, Fissidens viridulus, Dumortiera hirsuta, Marchantia polymorpha, Riccia sorocarpa.
