Abstract

ABSTRACT AN ANALYSIS OF ONLINE TEACHING-LEARNING SYSTEM OF KAMPUNG INGGRIS COOL (KIC) By: Ainun Febriani Male Nowadays learning English is easier with the existence of modern technology, especially the advance of communication and information technology. Online learning is any learning experience or environment that relies upon the Internet/World Wide Web (WWW or Web) as the primary delivery mode of communication and presentation. The researcher used a qualitative research methodology. The aim of this research is to analyze the Online Teaching-Learning System of Kampung Inggris Cool (KIC). KIC (Kampung Inggris Cool) is the first online English Course in Kampung Inggris, Pare, started by the Founder, Randy Pratama S. KIC (Kampung Inggris Cool) delivers an online class through WhatsApp to facilitate people to learn English, with Randy Pratama S as the founder as well as the tutor, the learning process using some written materials, audios, and video courses. KIC has members from all over Indonesia that consist mostly of students. The platform used by KIC is Whatsapp. Utilizing online learning and features on WhatsApp Chat group chat can be recommended as effective platform for educating students outside classroom contexts. As a results of this study, the researcher found the teaching and learning process was applied by the KIC with some relative new ways of teaching and learning since it was done through Whatsapp. These mechanisms fulfilled the concept of the teaching-learning. The system was well-designed.There are potential benefits of investing in online learning. Limitations are also evident in this popular learning environment. Among them are: This thesis reviews the benefits and limitations of online learning from two perspectives; students and instructor.
