Abstract

ABSTRAK PENGEMBANGAN MODUL BERBASIS PENDEKATAN WHOLE LANGUAGE PADA PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA SD/MI Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh sekolah yang belum menyediakan bahan ajar penunjang buku paket dalam bentuk modul. Sekalipun ada, pendidik sendiri yang mencari atau menyediakan. SD Negeri 4 Kalianda, Lampung Selatan dan MI-Terpadu Muhammadiyah Sukarame hanya menggunakan buku paket dalam proses pembelajaran. penelitian dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar modul berbasis pendekatan whole language pada materi teks narasi dan surat undangan. Modul dibuat untuk memudahkan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar bagi pendidik dan peserta didik. Dengan adanya bahan ajar tambahan berupa modul Bahasa Indonesia peserta didik lebih tertarik dan termotivasi dalam kegiatan beajar mengajar. Penelitian yang dilakukan oleh penulis, yaitu penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model Borg and Gall yang dilakukan dengan tujuh tahapan, yaitu potensi masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain yaitu uji kelayakan yang terdiri dari dua ahli bahasa, dua ahli materi, dua ahli media dan 3 pendidik, revisi desain produk, uji coba produk, dan revisi produk. Modul Bahasa Indonesia berbasis pendekatan whole language pada materi teks narasi dan surat undangan memperoleh nilai rata-rata dari ahli materi sebesar 91.66% yang dikategorikan sangat layak, ahli media memperoleh nilai rata rata sebesar 90.74% yang dikategorikan sangat layak, ahli bahasa memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 94.44% yang dikategorikan sangat layak. Penilaian yang diberikan oleh peserta didik pada tahap uji kelompok kecil memperoleh nilai sebesar 92.85% yang dikategorikan sangat layak. Uji kelompok besar di MI-Terpadu Muhammadiyah Sukarame kelas V A (Kharun Al Rasyid) memperoleh nilai persentase 92.85% yang dikategorikan sangat layak dan uji coba di kelas V C (Saad Bin Abi Waqqash) memperoleh nilai persentase 91.42%. hal ini menunjukan bahan ajar modul yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Kata Kunci: Modul Bahasa Indonesia, Whole Language iv ABSTRACT DEVELOPMENT OF A WHOLE LANGUAGE APPROACH BASED ON MODULE DEVELOPMENT OF INDONESIAN LEARNING IN SD/MI This research is motivated by schools that have not provided supporting teaching materials for textbooks in the form of modules. Even if there are, educators themselves seek or provide. SD Negeri 4 Kalianda, South Lampung and MI-Terpadu Muhammadiyah Sukarame only use text books in the learning process. The research was conducted with the aim of developing teaching materials for modules based on a whole language approach to narrative texts and invitation letters. The module is made to facilitate teaching and learning activities for educators and students. With additional teaching materials in the form of Indonesian language modules, students are more interested and motivated in teaching and learning activities. The research conducted by the author, namely Research and Development (R&D) research using the Borg and Gall model, was carried out with seven stages, namely potential problems, data collection, product design, design validation, namely a feasibility test consisting of two linguists, two experts materials, two media experts and 3 educators, product design revisions, product trials, and product revisions. The Indonesian language module based on the whole language approach on narrative text and invitation letters received an average score of 91.66% from material experts which was categorized as very feasible, media experts obtained an average score of 90.74% which was categorized as very feasible, linguists obtained an average score of 91.66%. an average of 94.44% which is categorized as very feasible. The assessment given by students at the small group test stage obtained a score of 92.85% which was categorized as very feasible. The large group test in MI-Terpadu Muhammadiyah Sukarame class V A (Kharun Al Rasyid) obtained a percentage value of 92.85% which was categorized as very feasible and the trial in class V C (Saad Bin Abi Waqqash) obtained a percentage value of 91.42%. This shows that the module teaching materials developed are suitable for use in the learning process. Keywords: Indonesian Language Module, Whole Language
