Abstract

ABSTRAK PENERAPAN REWARD AND PUNISHMENT UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR DAN SIKAP SOSIAL PESERTA DIDIK DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPS MI BUSTANUL ULUM SIDOREJO KABUPATEN LAMPUNG TIMUR Oleh: Mayang Sari Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan reward and punishment untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan sikap sosial peserta didik kelas V MI Bustanul Ulum Sidorejo Lampung Timur. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah Bagaimana pengaruh penerapan reward and punishment untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan sikap sosial peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPS di MI Bustanul Ulum Sidorejo, hambatan yang dihadapi dalam penerapan reward and punishment, dan cara pendidik mengatasi hambatan dalam penerapan reward and punishment. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, angket dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat tiga langkah dalam penerapan reward and punishment ini yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan hasil dari pelaksanaan. Adapun kendala dalam penggunaan reward and punishment ini yaitu peserta didik yang membangkang, Dana/Biaya dan kurang kondusif nya kelas dalam pelaksanaan nya. Cara pendidik mengatasi kendala ini yaitu dengan cara mengurangi pemberian reward berupa hadiah dan untuk siswa yang membangkang guru memberi peringatan dengan ancaman surat perjanjian dengan ditanda tangani oleh orang tua peserta didik. Penerapan reward and Punishment untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan sikap sosial dalam pembelajaran IPS kelas ini terbukti mampu untuk meningkatkan nilai akademik atau hasil belajar peserta didik berdasarkan indikator KKM. Berdasarkan hasil data grafik nilai ulangan harian peserta didik mengalami peningkatan dari sesudah penerapan reward and punishment. Berdasarkan data angket yang di peroleh bahwa menunjukan peserta didik sudah mencapai indikator sikap sosial. Dengan banyaknya peserta didik yang menjawab setuju. The problem in this study is how the effect of the application of reward and punishment to improve learning outcomes and social attitudes of students in social studies learning at MI Bustanul Ulum Sidorejo, the obstacles faced in implementing reward and punishment, and how educators overcome obstacles in the application of reward and punishment. This research is a descriptive qualitative research using questionnaire data collection techniques, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that there were three steps in the application of this reward and punishment, namely planning, implementation, and the results of the implementation. The obstacles in the use of reward and punishment are students who disobey, funds / fees and less conducive classes in their implementation. The way for educators to overcome this obstacle is by reducing the provision of rewards in the form of gifts and for students who disobey the teacher, giving a warning with the threat of a letter of agreement signed by the parents of students. Research on the application of rewards and punishments to improve learning outcomes and social attitudes in social studies learning is proven to be able to improve academic scores or student learning outcomes based on the KKM indicators, while social attitudes. Based on the result of the graph data, the daily test scores of students have increased from after the application of reward and punishment. Based on the quetionnaire data obtained, it shows tha students achieve indicators of social attiudes with the number of students who answered aggree.
