Abstract

ABSTRAK PENGARUH MODEL SCIENCE, ENVIROMENT TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIETY (SETS) TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS DAN KEMANDIRIAN BELAJAR SISWA KELAS X PADA MATA PELAJARAN BIOLOGI Oleh: Reza Artamelia Penggunaan model pembelajaran secara konvensional yang selama ini diterapkan menjadikan rendahnya keterampilan proses sains dan kemandirian belajar peserta didik yang diketahui melalui nilai peserta didik, yang dimana disebabkan oleh proses pembelajaran di kelas yang masih berpusat pada guru sehingga kemampuan peserta didik dalam memecahkan masalah belum maksimal. Keterampilan proses sains peserta didik kurang berkembang karena proses pembelajaran hanya berpusat pada teori saja, selain itu belum adanya penilaian secara langsung terhadap kemandirian belajar peserta didik sehingga pencapaian indikator kemandirian belajar peserta didik tidak diketahui secara pasti. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Pendekatan Science, Enviroment Technology And Society ( SETS ) Terhadap Keterampilan Proses Sains Dan Kemandirian Belajar Siswa Kelas X Pada Mata Pelajaran Biologi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Quasy Eksperimen dengan menggunakan analisis uji manova. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan tekhnik Purposive Sampling. Dari tekhnik tersebut kelas X IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan pendekatan Science, Enviroment Technology And Society ( SETS ) dan kelas X IPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran model konvensional yang diberikan oleh guru. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pendekatan Science, Enviroment Technology And Society ( SETS ) Terhadap Keterampilan Proses Sains Dan Kemandirian Belajar Siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dalam pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis data dengan uji statistik manova. Berdasarkan hasil analisis manova diperoleh bahwa nilai sig. 0,000 <0,05. Maka Ho ditolak dan diterima. Hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa Pendekatan SETS berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan kemandirian belajar siswa. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis diterima, dan pada keterampilan proses sains dan kemandirian belajar siswa memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas control. The method used in this research is Quasy Experiment using manova test analysis. The sample in this study was taken using the purposive sampling technique. From these techniques, class X IPA 2 as an experimental class using the Science, Environment Technology And Society (SETS) approach and class X IPA 3 as a control class using conventional learning models given by the teacher. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of the Science, Environment Technology And Society (SETS) approach on Science Process Skills and Student Learning Independence. This is evidenced in hypothesis testing using data analysis with the statistical test of manova. Based on the results of the analysis of manova obtained that the value of sig. 0.000 < 0.05. Then Ho is rejected and H_1 is accepted. This shows that the SETS approach has a significant effect on science process skills and student learning independence. So it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted, and the science process skills and student learning independence have a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class. The scientific process skills of students are less developed because the learning process is only centered on theory, besides that there is no direct assessment of the learning independence of students so that the achievement of indicators of student learning independence is not known for certain.
