Abstract

ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF USING VIDEO TOWARDS STUDENTS’ ABILITY IN WRITING ANALYTICAL EXPOSITION TEXT OF THE ELEVENTH GRADE OF SMA MUHAMMADIYAH 2 BANDAR LAMPUNG IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2019/2020 By Dyah Puji Lestari The objective of the present research was to know the influence of using Video towards students‘ ability in writing analytical exposition text of the eleventh grade of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2019/2020. In this research, the researcher implemented quantitative research. The researcher used quasi experimental design with pre-test and post-test. The sample was taken from two classes, XI MIPA 1 and XI IPS 1 consist 35 students in each. The treatments were held 3 meetings, 2 X 45 minutes for each. The population of the research was the eleventh grade student at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung. In collecting the data, the researcher used instrument in form of writing test there were pre-test and post-test. Pre-test was conducted before the treatment and post-test was conducted after the treatment. In experimental class, the researcher used Video, whereas in control class the researcher used Textbook. The researcher analyzed the data by using SPSS Statistic 16.0 tob. After analyzing the data used independent sample test, it was found that the result of Sig. (Pvalue) of the equal variance assumed was 0.000. The result then was consulted to the level significance. In this case, the level of significance was 0.05 from the analysis, the score Sig. (Pvalue) was lower than = 0.001. It means that, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. In order words, it could be concluded that there was influence of using video towards students ability in writing analytical exposition text of the eleventh grade of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung in the Academic Year of 2019/2020.
