Abstract

Abstract The research is motivated by a constrain in human language on point of legal judicative about human dignity and it insists enormous number of men caught since there is a language instrument can outwit it with the formula of double entendre or allusion named as satire. Satire is classified as language style having implicit meaning. It causes satire pioneering many language phenomena like allusion, critic and expression of moral outrage for repairing society. In addition, the implicitness make the producer is safe from criminal sentence. The interesting point is looking for how satire designed to be in multiple interpretations by using movie media as the telescope since the chosen movie is bias of human social life. From it, the research of satire is begun in Don’t look up movie by Adam Mckay since the mimesis of the movie bias of the most latest social moral ethic like as technology damage, modern leadership model, and environmental issues wrapped on a comet jeopardy situation. The research looks for kind of satire using Abrams theory and inference of satire using PSSTVH (Pentadic Satirical Script of Verbal Humor) theory. Qualitative approach is used as the main approach since the principle of qualitative having characteristics for cultivating data by understanding and describing not by cultivating the number of data. Descriptive qualitative method is utilized for accessing and processing the data. The instrument is the researcher its self since the qualitative approach is a bound man research since the interpretation of the data is understood by human mind and understanding. The trustworthiness of data is warranted by triangulation of expert. In result, there are six kinds of horatian satire wrapped on narrative medium and the inference of satire is talking about relationship between human ignorance and nature depicted into six kinds interconnected horatian satire about racketeering, audiovisual culture, technology abusive, broken president, exclusive state system and meritocracy. The six of satire is depicted the ignorance of human about the breakage of nature by focusing anything on money oriented. The result of the research has an advantage in English language teaching media as demonstrating example the understanding of satire based on PSSTVH theory as the scalpel, it can be used by student to uptake the inference of satire.
