Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui integrasi pendekatan aesthetic science activities dalam model pembelajaran berbasis masalah pada pelajaran fisika di SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung serta mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan aesthetic science activities terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada tingkat rendah dan tinggi di kelas eksperimen, serta membandingkan hasilnya dengan kelas kontrol yang menerima pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan pendekatan saintifik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi-Eksperimen dengan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sebanyak 72 siswa menjadi sampel penelitian, dipilih melalui teknik Simple Random Sampling. Instrumen penelitian melibatkan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran dan soal tes kemampuan berpikir kritis. Analisis data melibatkan uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji paired sample t-test. Instrumen penelitian mencakup lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan signifikansi >0,05 untuk uji normalitas dan homogenitas, serta dalam uji paired sample t-test menunjukkan signifikan dengan nilai 0,00 < 0,05. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan aesthetic science activities terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada tingkat rendah dan tinggi di kelas eksperimen, serta kelas kontrol yang menerima pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan pendekatan saintifik berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI. Additionally, it seeks to investigate the influence of the aesthetic science activities approach on students' low and high-level critical thinking abilities in the experimental class, comparing the results with the control class that receives problem-based learning with a scientific approach. The research methodology employed Quasi-Experimental design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research instruments included observation sheets for the implementation of the learning model and critical thinking ability test questions. Data analysis involved tests for normality, homogeneity, and paired sample t-test. The research instruments consisted of observation sheets for learning implementation and critical thinking ability tests. The results indicated significance >0.05 for normality and homogeneity tests, and in the paired sample t-test, it showed significance with a value of 0.00 < 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the aesthetic science activities approach positively influences the critical thinking abilities of low and high-level students in the experimental class, as well as the control class that receives problem-based learning with a scientific approach.
