Abstract

ABSTRAK PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP DAN MINAT BACA SISWA PADA MATERI SISTEM REPRODUKSI SISWA KELAS XI Oleh : YULISA Pembelajaran di kelas masih cenderung berpusat pada pendidik, sehingga banyak siswa yang hanya mendengarkan dan mengerjakan tugas. Akibatnya pemahaman konsep dan minat baca siswa tidak optimal. Pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition menuntut siswa untuk dapat berperan aktif membangun sendiri pengetahuannya serta dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) terhadap pemahaman konsep dan minat baca siswa pada materi sistem reproduksi siswa kelas XI. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif jenis Quasy Eksperiment. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Kotaagung dengan jumlah populasi 3 kelas XI IPA. Sampel penelitia yaitu kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas dengan uji Liliefors dan uji homogenitas dengan uji Fisher. Dilanjutkan dengan uji hipotesis dengan uji-t. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan diperoleh hasil uji-t membuktikan bahwa hasil sig.(2-tailed) 0,00 < α(0,05) maka Ho ditolak. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) terhadap pemahaman konsep dan minat baca siswa pada materi sistem reproduksi kelas XI SMAN 1 Kotaagung. ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF THE Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) LEARNING MODEL ON STUDENTS' UNDERSTANDING OF CONCEPTS AND INTEREST IN READING THE MATERIAL REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM OF CLASS XI STUDENTS By : YULISA Classroom learning still tends to be teacher-centered, so many students only listen and do assignments. As a result, students' understanding of concepts and interest in reading are not optimal. Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning requires students to be able to play an active role in building their own knowledge and can improve students' understanding of the material. This research aims to determine the effect of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model on students' understanding of concepts and interest in reading in class XI students' reproductive system material. This research uses quantitative research of the Quasy Experiment type. The research subjects were students of class XI Science at SMAN 1 Kotaagung with a population of 3 classes XI Science. The research sample is class XI IPA 2 as an experimental class with the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model. The data analysis technique uses a normality test with the Liliefors test and a homogeneity test with the Fisher test. Followed by testing the hypothesis with the t�test. Based on the research that has been carried out, the results of the t-test prove that the sig.(2-tailed) result is 0.00 < α(0.05), so Ho is rejected. This shows that there is an influence of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model on students' understanding of concepts and interest in reading in class XI reproductive system material at SMAN 1 Kotaagung.
