Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk ; 1) Mengetahui kemampuan scientific reasoning berdasarkan prestasi akademik. 2) Mengetahui kemampuan scientific reasoning berdasarkan gender. 3) Mengetahui hubungan prestasi akademik dan perbedaan gender terhadap kemampuan scientific reasoning calon guru fisika. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Islam Negeri Raden Intan Lampung. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif berupa correlation research dengan jenis penelitiannya menggunakan penelitian deskriptif. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling pada mahasiswa Angkatan 2019 sebagai populasi dan sampel diambil secara representatif dari keseluruhan populasi dengan rumus Slovin yakni 87 mahasiswa. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari hasil tes soal kemampuan scientific reasoning dengan instrumen Lawson Classroom Test Scientific Reasoning (LCTSR) dan angket prestasi akademik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan scientific reasoning berdasarkan prestasi akademik pada hasil uji kruskal-wallis menunjukkan nilai asymp.sig 0.932. Sedangkan kemampuan scientific reasoning berdasarkan gender pada hasil uji kruskal-wallis menunjukkan nilai asymp.sig 0.955, sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa “Tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara prestasi akademik dan gender calon guru fisika terhadap kemampuan scientific reasoning”. Dan untuk uji spearman pada prestasi akademik terhadap kemampuan scientific reasoning nilai signifikansinya sebesar 0.124, maka dapat dikatakan bahwa Ho diterima. Sedangkan untuk variabel scientific reasoning dan gender nilai signifikansinya sebesar 0.995, maka dapat dikatakan bahwa Ho diterima. Hipotesis menyatakan bahwa “Tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara prestasi akademik dan gender terhadap kemampuan scientific reasoning”. Kata Kunci : Prestasi Akademik, Gender, Scientific Reasoning iii ABSTRACT This research aims to ; 1) knowing the ability of scientific reasoning based on academic achievement. 2) knowing the ability of scientific reasoning based on gender. 3) knowing the relationship between academic achievement and gender differences on the scientific reasoning ability of prospective physics teachers. This research was conducted at the Physics Education Study Program, Raden Intan State Islamic University, Lampung. This research method used a quantitative approach in the form of correlation research with the type of research using descriptive research. Sampling using purposive sampling technique, with collager of the 2019 class as the population and sample taken representatively from the entire population with the Slovin formula, namely 87 students. The research data was obtained from a sciemtific reasoning ability test using the Lawson Classroom Test Scientific Reasoning (LCTSR) and an academic achievement questionnaire. The results showed that the scientific reasoning ability based on academic achievement on the results of the Kruskal-Wallis test showed an asymp.sig value of 0.932. While the scientific reasoning ability based on gender on the results of the Kruskal-Wallis test shows the asymp.sig value of 0.955, so it can be said “There is no significant difference between academic achievement and gender of prospective physics teacher in scientific reasoning ability”. And for the Spearman test of academic achievement on scientific reasoning ability, a significance value of 0.124, it can be said that Ho is accepted. Meanwhile, for the variables of scientific reasoning and gender, a significance value of 0.995, so it can be said that Ho is accepted. The hypothesis stated that “There is no significant relationship between academic achievement and gender with scientific reasoning ability”.
