Abstract

Teacher‟s Performance and Motivation in building the students‟ character (Study in SMAN 1 Sekampung, MA Ma'arif Sekampung and SMK Darurrohmah Sukadana East Lampung district). Mahmud Yunus, 1303020016. 2016 Teacher‟s performance is teacher's work achievements in carrying out the task of learning at the school according to target permanent, Teacher‟s motivation is the individual encouragement which affects the student‟s behavior to achieve better results. The student‟s character is character building by value, norm that aplaid to day and differant individual with another. In SMAN 1 Sekampung, MA. Ma‟arif 5 Sekampung and SMK Darurrohmah Sukadana east Lampung distric teachers performance and motivation is optimal, but student character not yet according to target permanent. The problems are distorsi between aim of educations and there are realita. The problem formulation of the disertation is "How are the teachers ‟performance and motivation in building the character of the students at SMAN 1, MA Ma'arif 5 Sekampung and SMK Darurrohmah Sukadana?" The pu rpose is to uncover and analyze various problems which are related to the students‟ character- building through teacher‟s performance and motivation at SMAN 1 Sekampung, MA Ma'arif 5 Sekampung and SMK Darurrohmah Sukadana. This research is qualitative research. The data was taken from the researcher and informant of teachers and students. Data collection used was interview, observation and documentation as well as questionnaire. While data was analyzed by using data triangulation in way of analysis: (1) analyzing theory, (2) analyzing the results of the interview, (3) analysis of observation and questionnaire. After analyzing the data, there is the withdrawal of conclusion as the research findings. The results showed that (1) the teacher is performance in the students' character-building in SMAN 1 Sekampung, MA Ma'arif 5 Sekampung and SMK Darurrohmah Sukadana is in a Good criteria, with the average result is 80,20%, (2) Teacher's motivation in the students' character-building is in the Good criteria with average result is 79,33%, (3) The contribution of teacher‟s performance and motivation in a Good the criteria which is reflected in the average result is 81,88%, (4) the teacher's work planning as students' character-building messages which are integrated in learning all subjects contribute positively or significantly to the students‟ character-building in the school. The conclude of the research are studens character can building by the good teacher's performance and teacher's motivation. Key word : Teachers performance, Motivation , Character of students
