Abstract

ABSTRAK Pembelajaran sains di abad 21 ini banyak berfokus pada kepedulian terhadap lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur HOTSEP (Higher Order Thinking Skills of Environmental Problem) mahasiswa dalam konteks permasalahan lingkungan yang berkaitan dengan kelistrikan. Metode deskriptif digunakan dengan jumlah sampel 50 siswa dari beberapa kota di Indonesia. Instrumen HOTSEP terdiri dari 3 kategori jenjang berpikir mulai dari mengkritisi masalah lingkungan (C4), menyelesaikan masalah lingkungan (C5), dan mengembangkan inovasi tentang lingkungan (C6). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa HOTSEP kota pelajar termasuk dalam kategori "sedang" (50,41). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pemahaman konsep kelistrikan dan implementasinya pada tingkat siswa secara umum masih perlu ditingkatkan umum sehingga mereka bisa mengaplikasikannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari menjadi lebih baik. Kata kunci: Energi Listrik, HOTSEP, Taksonomi Ichsan. ABSTRACT. Learning science in the 21st century focuses a lot on caring for the environment. This study aims to measure students' HOTSEP (Higher Order Thinking Skills of Environmental Problem) in the context of environmental problems related to electricity. The descriptive method was used with a sample size of 50 students from several cities in Indonesia. The HOTSEP instrument consists of 3 categories of thinking levels ranging from criticizing environmental problems (C4), solving environmental problems (C5), and developing innovations about the environment (C6). The results showed that the HOTSEP of students city was included in the "medium" category (50,41). These results indicate that the level of understanding of electrical concepts and their implementation at the student level in general still needs to be improved. Suggestions for further research, understanding environmental concepts of electricityneeds to be introduced to students in general so that they can apply it in their daily lives for the better.
