Abstract

ABSTRACT Indonesia‟s economic growth during 2015–2025 faced challenges in human development and employment. Although the Human Development Index (HDI) consistently increased, its impact on economic growth remained limited due to weak productivity and labor absorption. In contrast, the high Open Unemployment Rate (OUR) significantly constrained economic performance. This study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and multiple linear regression analysis with E-Views 10 software. The objective is to examine the influence of HDI (X1) and OUR (X2) on Indonesia‟s Economic Growth (Y) from an Islamic economics perspective year 2015-2025. The findings reveal that HDI does not significantly affect economic growth, while OUR has a significant negative effect. Simultaneously, both variables exert a significant influence, with an F-statistic of 8.54 exceeding the F-table value of 4.46 at α = 0.05 and a probability of 0.022 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.68 confirms that HDI and OUR explain 68% of economic growth variation. Keywords: Economic Growth, Human Development Index (Hdi), Open Unemployment Rate.
