Abstract

Kelas eksperimen menerapkan model Collaborative Learning (tipe TPS) berbantuan media interaktif emoji canva berbasis emoji digital, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan model Numbered Heads Together (NHT). ABSTRACT Reading literacy is an essential competency that needs to be developed in elementary school students, particularly in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the Collaborative Learning model assisted by emoji canva media on the reading literacy skills of third-grade students at SDN 2 Marga Agung. This quantitative quasi-experimental study using a Nonequivalent Control Group Design examined the effectiveness of the Collaborative Learning model assisted by Canva media on the reading literacy skills of third-grade students at SDN 2 Marga Agung. Using a total sampling technique, the sample comprised 56 students divided into an experimental class ( ) and a control class ( ). The experimental class implemented the Collaborative Learning model assisted by the interactive digital emoji-based visual media canva, while the control class utilized the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) model. Data were gathered through a 20-item valid and reliable multiple-choice pretest and posttest instrument, analyzed using parametric Independent Samples t-test and Cohen's effect size formulas. Results showed the experimental mean score increased from 62.41 to 83.79, while the control class increased from 56.30 to 77.04. The posttest analysis revealed a significant difference between groups, yielding ( ) , ( ), and a moderate-to-high effect size of . Additionally, the experimental class showed a higher average N-Gain of 0.60 (Moderate / Quite Effective) compared to the control class with 0.43 (Moderate / Less Effective) Structurally, this implies that integrating collaborative group work with interactive visual media effectively fosters an active learning environment, making it highly recommended to optimize reading literacy achievements.
