Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh jumlah penduduk, angkatan tenaga kerja terdidik, dan partisipasi pendidikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia dalam perspektif ekonomi Islam pada periode 2014–2024. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih adanya ketimpangan kualitas sumber daya manusia, rendahnya partisipasi pendidikan pada jenjang tertentu, serta peningkatan jumlah penduduk yang belum sepenuhnya diimbangi dengan kualitas tenaga kerja. Kondisi tersebut berpotensi memengaruhi produktivitas dan pemerataan pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia. Dalam perspektif ekonomi Islam, pertumbuhan ekonomi tidak hanya berorientasi pada peningkatan output dan pendapatan, tetapi juga harus mencerminkan keadilan, pemerataan, kesejahteraan, dan kemaslahatan masyarakat sesuai dengan tujuan maqashid syariah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan data sekunder berupa data time series tahun 2014–2024 yang diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah Error Correction Model (ECM) dengan bantuan EViews 12 untuk menganalisis hubungan jangka panjang dan jangka pendek antara variabel penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah penduduk, angkatan tenaga kerja terdidik, dan partisipasi pendidikan memiliki hubungan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia. Secara simultan, ketiga variabel tersebut berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Dalam perspektif ekonomi Islam, pertumbuhan ekonomi harus didukung oleh peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia, pemerataan pendidikan, dan terciptanya kesejahteraan masyarakat yang sejalan dengan tujuan maqashid syariah. ABTRACK This study aims to analyze the influence of population, educated labor force, and educational participation on economic growth in Indonesia from an Islamic economic perspective during the 2014 2024 period. This research is motivated by the existing disparities in the quality of human resources, the relatively low level of educational participation at certain educational levels, and the increasing population that has not been fully supported by the quality of the labor force. These conditions may affect productivity and the equitable distribution of economic growth in Indonesia. From the perspective of Islamic economics, economic growth is not only oriented toward increasing output and income but must also reflect justice, equity, social welfare, and public benefit (maslahah) in accordance with the objectives of maqashid al-shariah. This study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data in the form of time series data for the period 2014–2024 obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). The analytical method used is the Error Correction Model (ECM) with the assistance of EViews 12 software to examine both the long-run and short-run relationships among the research variables. The results indicate that population, educated labor force, and educational participation are associated with economic growth in Indonesia. Simultaneously, these three variables significantly influence economic growth. From the perspective of Islamic economics, economic growth should be supported by improving the quality of human resources, expanding access to education, and promoting public welfare in line with the objectives of maqashid al shariah.
