Abstract

ABSTRAK Viralnya aksi joget anggota DPR RI dalam Sidang Paripurna menimbulkan beragam tanggapan di masyarakat, termasuk mahasiswa. Sebagai forum resmi kenegaraan, sidang paripurna menuntut sikap yang mencerminkan etika dan profesionalisme. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk mengkaji opini mahasiswa serta meninjaunya dari perspektif komunikasi Islam. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji opini mahasiswa UIN Raden Intan Lampung terhadap aksi joget anggota DPR RI pada Sidang Paripurna dan menganalisa implementasi prinsip komunikasi Islam terhadap tanggapan mahasiswa UIN Raden Intan Lampung atas aksi joget anggota DPR RI dalam sidang paripurna. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian lapangan (field research) dan bersifat deskriptif. Informan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 24 orang mahasiswa Program Studi Komunikasi dan Penyiaran Islam UIN Raden Intan Lampung. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisa data dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas mahasiswa UIN Raden Intan Lampung memiliki pandangan yang cenderung negatif terhadap aksi joget anggota DPR RI pada sidang paripurna. Meskipun sebagian mahasiswa memandangnya sebagai bentuk ekspresi spontan atau hiburan, tindakan tersebut dinilai kurang tepat dilakukan dalam forum resmi kenegaraan karena sidang paripurna merupakan ruang formal yang menuntut sikap serius, profesional, serta menjaga wibawa dan kehormatan lembaga negara. Mahasiswa juga berpendapat bahwa anggota DPR RI sebagai wakil rakyat seharusnya mencerminkan etika, tanggung jawab, dan menjadi teladan bagi masyarakat. Dari perspektif komunikasi Islam, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa umumnya telah menerapkan prinsip tabayyun melalui pengecekan sumber (source-checking), verifikasi isi (content-verification), dan akuntabilitas (accountability), sehingga opini yang disampaikan tidak hanya didasarkan pada emosi, tetapi juga mempertimbangkan kebenaran informasi dan tanggung jawab moral. Selain itu, implementasi prinsip komunikasi Islam dalam menanggapi peristiwa tersebut tergolong baik, ditunjukkan melaluiiii sikap jujur, santun, dan bertanggung jawab. Namun, sebagian mahasiswa masih dipengaruhi preferensi politik sehingga objektivitas dan keadilan dalam memberikan penilaian belum sepenuhnya optimal. Oleh karena itu, penguatan nilai-nilai komunikasi Islam perlu terus dilakukan agar mahasiswa mampu menyampaikan opini secara kritis, etis, dan berlandaskan ajaran Islam. ABSTRACT The viral video of members of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) dancing during a Plenary Session generated various reactions from the public, including university students. As an official state forum, a plenary session requires attitudes that reflect ethics and professionalism. Therefore, it is important to examine students' opinions regarding this incident and analyze them from the perspective of Islamic communication. This study aims to explore the opinions of students at UIN Raden Intan Lampung regarding the dancing action of DPR RI members during the Plenary Session and to analyze these opinions from the perspective of Islamic communication. This research is a descriptive field research study. The informants consisted of 24 students from the Islamic Communication and Broadcasting Study Program at UIN Raden Intan Lampung. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.. The research findings indicate that the majority of UIN Raden Intan Lampung students hold a generally negative view regarding the dancing performed by members of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) during a plenary session. Although some students perceived the act as a form of spontaneous expression or entertainment, it was deemed inappropriate for an official state forum; a plenary session is a formal setting that demands a serious and professional demeanor, as well as the preservation of the state institution's dignity and honor. Students also maintained that DPR RI members, as representatives of the people, ought to embody ethical conduct and responsibility, serving as role models for the public. From the perspective of Islamic communication, the findings show that students generally applied the principle of *tabayyun* (verification) through source checking, content verification, and accountability; consequently, the opinions expressed were not merely emotionally driven but also took into account the veracity of information and moral responsibility. Furthermore, the application of Islamic communication principles in responding to the incident was commendable, characterized byv honesty, courtesy, and a sense of responsibility. However, some students remained influenced by political preferences, meaning their objectivity and fairness in assessment were not fully optimal. Therefore, it is essential to continue reinforcing Islamic communication values so that students can express their opinions critically and ethically, grounded in Islamic teachings
