Abstract

ABSTRAK Motivasi belajar siswa merupakan faktor penting dalam keberhasilan proses pembelajaran. Salah satu faktor eksternal yang mempengaruhi motivasi belajar adalah komunikasi interpersonal antara guru dan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komunikasi interpersonal guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa di Madrasah Muhammadiyah Sukarame. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada siswa sebagai responden penelitian. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik. Uji keabsahan data dilakukan melalui uji validitas, reliabilitas, serta uji t untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel komunikasi interpersonal guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi interpersonal guru berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa, dengan nilai t hitung sebesar 3,741 lebih besar dari t tabel 2,020 (3,741 > 2,020) serta nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,026 lebih kecil dari 0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa H₀ ditolak dan H₁ diterima. Artinya, semakin baik komunikasi antara guru dan siswa, maka semakin tinggi motivasi belajar siswa. Sebaliknya, komunikasi yang kurang efektif dapat menurunkan semangat belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, komunikasi interpersonal guru memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa di Madrasah Muhammadiyah Sukarame. ABSTRACT Student’s learning motivation is an important factor in the success of the learning process. One of the external factors that influences learning motivation is interpersonal communication between teachers and students. This study aims to determine the effect of teacher’s interpersonal communication on student’s learning motivation at Muhammadiyah Sukarame Islamic School The research employed a quantitative method with a survey approach. The data were collected through questionnaires distributed to students a thes research respondents. The collected data were then analyzed using statistical tests. Data validity was tested through validity and reliability tests, while the hypothesis was tested using the t-test to determine the effect of teacher’s interpersonal communication on student’s learning motivation. The results of the study indicate that teacher’s interpersonal communication has a significant effect on student’ learning motivation, with a calculated t-value of 3.741which is greater than the t-table value of 2.020 (3.741 > 2.020) and a significance value of 0.026 wich is lower than 0.05. Thesefindings indicates that the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) is accepted. In other words, the better the interpersonal communication between teachers and students, the higher the students’ learning motivation. Conversely, ineffective communication may reduce students’ enthusiasm for learning. Therefore, teacher’s interpersonal communication plays an important role in enhancing students’ learning motivation at Muhammadiyah Sukarame Islamic School.
