Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS). Permasalahannya adalah kemampuan kognitif siswa, kurangnya fokus peserta didik pada saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung, terbatasnya media pembelajaran, serta metode pengajaran yang dinilai kurang efektif yang mengakibatkan kesulitan dalam memahami konsep materi secara optimal. Dalam hal ini peneliti menggunakan model pembelajaran RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create) berbantuan media Flipbook Digital untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPAS peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini yaitu apakah terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran RADEC berbantuan media Flipbook Digital terhadap pemahaman konsep IPAS Kelas V di SDN 1 Sukabumi Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran RADEC berbantuan media Flipbook Digital terhadap pemahaman konsep IPAS Kelas V di SDN 1 Sukabumi Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experimen (Eksperimen Semu) dengan bentuk desain Pretest-Posttest Design. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah Cluster Random Sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes pemahaman konsep (berupa soal pretest dan posttest). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji N-Gain, dan uji hipotesis (Uji-T). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari hasil uji hipotesis Independent Sample T-test yang dilakukan pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol didapatkan nilai sig. (2-tailed) adalah 0,000 < 0,05. Hal ini berarti penggunaan model pembelajaran RADEC berbantuan media Flipbook Digital memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap pemahaman konsep IPAS peserta didik kelas V SDN 1 Sukabumi Bandar Lampung. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, artinya ada pengaruh signifikan penggunaan model pembelajaran RADEC berbantuan media Flipbook Digital terhadap pemahaman konsep IPAS peserta didik kelas V SDN 1 Sukabumi Bandar Lampung. ABSTRACT This research was motivated by the low conceptual understanding ability of students in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject. The primary issues identified included students' cognitive abilities, a lack of focus during the learning process, limited learning media, and teaching methods deemed less effective, which consequently led to difficulties in optimizing students' understanding of the material concepts. In response to these challenges, the researcher utilized the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create) learning model assisted by Digital Flipbook media to improve the IPAS conceptual understanding of fifth-grade elementary school students. The research problem formulated was whether there is a significant effect of the RADEC learning model assisted by Digital Flipbook media on the IPAS conceptual understanding of fifth-grade students at SDN 1 Sukabumi Bandar Lampung. This study aimed to determine the effect of the RADEC learning model assisted by Digital Flipbook media on the IPAS conceptual understanding of fifth-grade students at SDN 1 Sukabumi Bandar Lampung. The results of the study indicated that the Independent Sample T-test conducted on both the experimental and control classes yielded a sig. (2- tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05. This means that the implementation of the RADEC learning model assisted by Digital Flipbook media exerted a significant effect on the IPAS conceptual understanding of fifth-grade students at SDN 1 Sukabumi Bandar Lampung. Therefore, it can be concluded that the null hypothesis H0 was rejected and the alternative hypothesis H1 was accepted, meaning that there is a significant effect of using the RADEC learning model assisted by Digital Flipbook media on the IPAS conceptual understanding of fifth-grade students at SDN 1 Sukabumi Bandar Lampung. The type of research used was a Quasi-Experiment with a Pretest-Posttest Design. The sampling technique applied was Cluster Random Sampling. Data collection was carried out through conceptual understanding tests consisting of pretest and posttest questions. The data analysis techniques involved normality tests, homogeneity tests, N-Gain tests, and hypothesis testing using the T-test.
