Abstract

ABSTRACT Education in Indonesia faces major challenges in producing students who are not only academically intelligent but also possess good character and the ability to develop themselves. Therefore, it is important for educational institutions to design a holistic curriculum that includes academics, morals, and students' practical skills. MA Darul Falah Batu Putu in Bandar Lampung strives to design a curriculum that balances students' academic knowledge, character, and social skills. Accordingly, this study aims to analyze how curriculum management at this school can produce students who are intellectually capable, morally upright, and able to develop themselves. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design conducted at MA Darul Falah Batu Putu, Bandar Lampung, over a period of six months. The research data sources include the principal of the madrasah, the vice principal for curriculum, the vice principal for student affairs, teachers, and students. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was strengthened through source and technique triangulation so that the findings would be more objective and comprehensive in explaining the planning, implementation, evaluation, and challenges of curriculum management at the madrasah. The results show that MA Darul Falah Batu Putu has succeeded in designing a holistic curriculum that integrates character development with academic knowledge and practical skills. In curriculum design, the school emphasizes alignment with national education goals and local needs while integrating religious values to shape students who are not only intelligent but also morally upright. Curriculum implementation at the school prioritizes characterbased learning and hands-on practice to develop skills relevant to social life and the world of work. Curriculum evaluation is carried out through assessments of the context, input, process, and learning outcomes to ensure that the curriculum achieves the established educational objectives. The challenges faced by the school are related to technological infrastructure and limited resources; however, the principal and the vice principal for curriculum are committed to continuously improving and adapting the curriculum to make it more relevant and effective. The findings indicate that holistic curriculum management, which combines academic education, character development, and practical skills within a religionbased curriculum, can serve as a model for other Islamic schools in addressing contemporary challenges, with recommendations to improve technological infrastructure and curriculum evaluation for more sustainable outcomes.
