Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan membaca teks bahasa Arab peserta didik kelas V di MI Al Hikmah Bandar Lampung. Hal tersebut terlihat dari masih rendahnya kemampuan peserta didik dalam memahami kosakata, menentukan ide pokok, memahami isi bacaan, serta menjawab pertanyaan berdasarkan teks bahasa Arab yang dibaca. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) terhadap kemampuan membaca teks bahasa Arab peserta didik kelas V MI Al Hikmah Bandar Lampung. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) terhadap kemampuan membaca teks bahasa Arab peserta didik kelas V MI Al Hikmah Bandar Lampung. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experimental Design. Bentuk desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas V MI Al Hikmah Bandar Lampung. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah sampling jenuh, sehingga seluruh populasi dijadikan sampel penelitian. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas dua kelas, yaitu kelas V A sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas V B sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah keseluruhan 60 peserta didik. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes kemampuan membaca teks bahasa Arab yang telah melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi uji prasyarat analisis berupa uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas, serta uji hipotesis menggunakan Independent Sample t-Test dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 26. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh nilai signifikansi (Sig. 2- tailed) sebesar 0,000. Nilai tersebut lebih kecil dari 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05), sehingga H₀ ditolak dan Hₐ diterima. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 75,27 lebih tinggi dibandingkan rata-rata nilai posttest kelas kontrol sebesar 66,67. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) terhadap kemampuan membaca teks bahasa Arab peserta didik kelas V MI Al Hikmah Bandar Lampung. ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the low reading ability of fifth-grade students at MI Al Hikmah Bandar Lampung in Arabic. This is evident in their low ability to understand vocabulary, determine main ideas, comprehend reading content, and answer questions based on the Arabic texts they read. The research problem is whether the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model influences the reading ability of fifth-grade students at MI Al Hikmah Bandar Lampung. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model on the reading ability of fifth-grade students at MI Al Hikmah Bandar Lampung. This study used a Quasi-Experimental Design. The research design used a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study was all fifth-grade students at MI Al Hikmah Bandar Lampung. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling, so the entire population was used as the research sample. The research sample consisted of two classes: Class V A as the control class and Class V B as the experimental class, with a total of 60 students. The research instrument used was an Arabic text reading ability test that had undergone validity and reliability tests. Data analysis techniques included prerequisite analysis tests, such as normality and homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing using the Independent Sample t-Test with the help of SPSS version 26. The results of the study yielded a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000. This value is less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), therefore, H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. The results also showed that the average posttest score of the experimental class was 75.27, higher than the average posttest score of the control class of 66.67. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model has a significant effect on the Arabic text reading ability of fifth-grade students at MI Al Hikmah Bandar Lampung.
