Abstract

ABSTRAK Pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada pembelajaran matematika masih sangat tergolong rendah. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh kecenderungan siswa yang mengalami kesulitan ketika diminta menerapkan konsep dalam penyelesaian masalah. Kondisi tersebut menjadi indikasi bahwa proses pembelajaran yang berlangsung belum sepenuhnya mendorong siswa untuk belajar secara aktif, kritis, dan bermakna. Oleh karena itu, penerapan model Pembelajaran Inquiry Based Learning berbantuan media Bamboozle diharapkan mampu memberikan solusi efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas IV.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian quasi experiment dan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 56 siswa kelas IV yang terdiri atas kelas IVA dan IVB. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster sampling, sehingga diperoleh kelas IVA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas IVB sebagai kelas kontrol, masing-masing berjumlah 28 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian telah memenuhi kriteria valid dengan 7 butir soal valid dan reliabel dengan koefisien Cronbach's Alpha sebesar 0,705. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, Independent Samples t-test, dan uji N-Gain.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (<0,05) dengan nilai t_hitung sebesar 6,233 lebih besar daripada t_tabel sebesar 2,005, sehingga H₀ ditolak dan Hₐ diterima. Rata-rata N-Gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,67 (kategori sedang), sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,28 (kategori rendah). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Inquiry Based Learning berbantuan media Bamboozle berpengaruh signifikan dan lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas IV MIN 2 Bandar Lampung dibandingkan pembelajaran yang diterapkan pada kelas kontrol. ABSTRACT Students' conceptual understanding of mathematics remains very low. This is demonstrated by the tendency for students to experience difficulty when asked to apply concepts to problemsolving. This indicates that the learning process has not fully encouraged students to learn actively, critically, and meaningfully. Therefore, the implementation of the Inquiry-Based Learning model, supported by Bamboozle media, is expected to provide an effective solution to improve fourth-grade students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research type and a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study population consisted of 56 fourth-grade students consisting of classes IVA and IVB. The sampling technique used cluster sampling, resulting in class IVA as the experimental class and class IVB as the control class, each consisting of 28 students. Data collection techniques include tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The research instrument has met the valid criteria with 7 valid and reliable questions with a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 0.705. Data analysis was carried out through normality tests, homogeneity tests, Independent Samples t-tests, and N-Gain tests. The research results show that the data is normally distributed and homogeneous. The results of the hypothesis test show a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05) with a t_count value of 6.233 which is greater than the t_table of 2.005, so that H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. The average N-Gain for the experimental class was 0.67 (medium category), while the control class was 0.28 (low category). Thus, it can be concluded that the Inquiry Based Learning learning model assisted by Bamboozle media has a significant effect and is more effective in increasing the understanding of mathematical concepts for class IV MIN 2 Bandar Lampung students compared to the learning applied in the control class.
