Abstract
Al-Qur'an menegaskan tanggung jawab ayah dalam QS. ABSTRACT The phenomenon of fatherless and the decline of father involvement in families due to economic demands and the dominance of digital technology has become a social problem affecting children's emotional, moral, and social development. The Qur'an affirms the father's responsibility in QS. AtTaḥrīm [66]: 6: "Yā ayyuhā al-lażīna āmanū qū anfusakum wa ahlīkum nāran" (O you who believe, protect yourselves and your families from the Hellfire). This study aims to analyze the concept of the father's role in the Qur'an as educator, role model, and communicator, along with its implications for children's lives and the fatherless phenomenon in the digital era. This study employs a qualitative approach through library research using the mauḍū'ī (thematic) tafsir method of al-Farmāwī. The primary data consists of Qur'anic verses analyzed through the interpretations of Ibn Kaṡīr and al-Qurṭubī, who emphasize the foundations of tawḥīd and moral responsibility through textual-narrative approaches, as well as M. Quraish Shihab and Wahbah al-Zuḥailī, who offer contextual readings with emphasis on dialogical communication and exemplary conduct relevant to modern family dynamics. The findings reveal that the concept of the father's role in the Qur'an encompasses the responsibility of protecting the family from moral destruction, educating children with tawḥīd and moral values, building communication based on wisdom, and nurturing children's social lives through exemplary behavior and compassion. The implications are evident in the formation of religious character, emotional stability, independence, and moral resilience in children. The Qur'anic concept of fatherhood serves as a fundamental solution to the fatherless phenomenon and the crisis of contemporary family nurturing.
