Abstract
ABSTRACT The main problem in this study is the fluctuation of the level of profitability of Islamic banking which is influenced by macroeconomic conditions and financing risks faced by banks. Changes in the inflation rate and interest rates (BI Rate) can affect the financing activities and fundraising of banks, while the high level of Non-Performing Financing (NPF) can reduce the financial performance and profitability of Islamic banks. The research sample consists of 7 Islamic Commercial Banks with a total of 35 observations selected using a purposive sampling method. The data analysis technique used is panel data regression processed using Eviews 13 software. The results of the study indicate that inflation has a partial positive but insignificant effect on profitability with a coefficient value of 0.586584 and a probability of 0.2039. Interest rates (BI Rate) have a positive but insignificant effect on profitability with a coefficient value of 0.021637 and a probability of 0.9807. Meanwhile, Non-Performing Financing (NPF) has a negative but insignificant effect on profitability with a coefficient value of ( 0.328638) and a probability of 0.3700. Simultaneously, inflation, the BI Rate, and Non-Performing Loan (NPF) variables did not significantly influence the profitability of Islamic commercial banks. This finding suggests that macroeconomic conditions and financing risk management are important factors in determining the profitability of Islamic banking. Keywords: Inflation, BI Rate, Non-Performing Financing, Profitability, Islamic Commercial Banks.
