Abstract

ABSTRAK Pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar masih menghadapi tantangan dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa, sebagaimana ditunjukkan oleh rendahnya capaian Indonesia pada TIMSS 2019 dan PISA 2022. Kondisi ini diperkuat oleh hasil pra penelitian di kelas IV MIN 5 Bandar Lampung yang menunjukkan 100% siswa belum mencapai KKTP serta rendahnya capaian pada setiap indikator pemahaman konsep. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model ALBICI (Active Learning Based Interactive Conceptual Instructions) berbantuan handout terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) menggunakan kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes pemahaman konsep yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman konsep matematika siswa yang belajar menggunakan model ALBICI berbantuan handout dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Model ini mampu mendorong keaktifan, interaksi, serta membantu siswa membangun konsep secara mandiri melalui dukungan media yang kontekstual. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model ALBICI berbantuan handout efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa sekolah dasar. The method used is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using experimental and control groups. Data collection techniques were carried out through concept understanding tests that had been tested for validity and reliability, then analyzed using statistical tests. The results of the study showed that there was a significant increase in the understanding of mathematical concepts of students who learned using the ALBICI model assisted by handouts compared to conventional learning. This model is able to encourage activeness, interaction, and help students build concepts independently through contextual media support. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the ALBICI model assisted by handouts is effective in improving the understanding of mathematical concepts of elementary school students.
