Abstract

ABSTRAK Berdasarkan hasil pra penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa model pembelajaran yang diterapkan belum dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan komunikasi peserta didik, Hal ini dikarenakan proses pembelajaran yang masih berpusat kepada guru, kurangnya kegiatan diskusi yang menyebabkan peserta didik hanya menerima informasi dari pendidik sehingga peserta didik tidak berperan aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui model pembelajaran Argument Driven Inquiry terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan komunikasi kelas XI pada materi sistem reproduksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuatitatif dengan metode Quasi Eksperimental Design dengan desain penelitian PretesPosttest Control Group. Teknik sampel yang digunakan yaitu Cluster Random Sampling. Populasi yang digunakan seluruh peserta didik kelas XI SMA Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas XI IPA 3 (Kelas Eksprimen) dan XI IPA 4 (Kelas Kontrol). Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu soal tes kemampuan berpikir kritis yang terdiri dari 8 soal essay dan lembar observasi keterampilan komunikasi yang terdiri dari 12 butir. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa uji analisis yang digunakan adalah uji-t independent kemampuan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan komunikasi dan diperoleh nilai signifikasi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 (0,05), maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Sehingga hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model Argument driven inquiry terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan komunikasi kelas XI materi sistem reproduksi. ABSTRACT Based on the results of the pre-research, it was found that the applied learning model has not been able to improve students' critical thinking skills and communication skills. This is because the learning process is still centered on the teacher, the lack of discussion activities that cause students to only receive information from educators so that students do not play an active role in the learning process. This study aims to determine the Argument Driven Inquiry learning model on critical thinking skills and communication skills of class XI on the reproductive system material. This study uses a quantitative approach with a QuasiExperimental Design method with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group research design. The sampling technique used is Cluster Random Sampling. The population used is all students of class XI SMA Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung. The sample of this study consists of two classes, namely class XI IPA 3 (Experimental Class) and XI IPA 4 (Control Class). The instruments used are critical thinking ability test questions consisting of 8 essay questions and a communication skills observation sheet consisting of 12 items. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the analysis test used is an independent t-test of critical thinking skills and communication skills and obtained a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 < α (0.05), then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So the results of the study can be concluded that there is an influence of the Argument driven inquiry model on critical thinking skills and communication skills of class XI on the reproductive system material.
