Abstract

ABSTRAK Pada abad 21, penting bagi peserta didik untuk memiliki kemandirian belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis guna menghadapi abad 21 dan era globalisasi, namun berdasarkan hasil pra penelitian yang dilakukan di SMAS Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung kemandirian belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis masih berada pada kategori rendah. Sehingga dibutuhkannya inovasi baru dalam penerapan model pembelajaran yang sesuai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Self Directed Learning terhadap kemandirian belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis kelas X pada mata pelajaran biologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode Quasy Experimen Design dengan desain Pre-test dan Post-test Control Group Design. Teknik sampling dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Populasi yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas X SMAS Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas X1 (kelas eksperimen) dan X2 (kelas kontrol). Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari non tes berupa angket kemandirian belajar, tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dan dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian terdiri 22 butir angket skala likert dan 10 soal essay. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa uji analisis yang digunakan adalah uji-t independent kemandirian belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis menunjukan nilai yang berbeda bahwa hasil dari kemandirian belajar sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,001 < α (0.05), dan hasil dari kemampuan berpikir kritis sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < α (0.05), maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Sehingga hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model Self Directed Learning terhadap kemandirian belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis kelas X pada mata pelajaran biologi ABSTRACT In the 21st century, it is important for students to have independent learning and critical thinking skills to face the 21st century and the era of globalization, however, based on the results of pre-research conducted at SMAS Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung, independent learning and critical thinking skills are still in the low category. So that new innovations are needed in the application of appropriate learning models. This study aims to determine the effect of the SelfDirected Learning model on independent learning and critical thinking skills of class X in biology subjects. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Quasy Experiment Design method with a Pre-test and Post-test Control Group Design. The sampling technique in this study uses a cluster random sampling technique. The population used in this study were all class X students of SMAS Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung. The sample of this study consisted of two classes, namely class X1 (experimental class) and X2 (control class). Data collection techniques consisted of non-tests in the form of learning independence questionnaires, critical thinking ability tests and documentation. The research instrument consisted of 22 Likert scale questionnaire items and 10 essay questions. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the analysis test used is the independent t-test of learning independence and critical thinking skills showing different values that the results of learning independence sig. (2-tailed) of 0.001 <α (0.05), and the results of critical thinking skills sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <α (0.05), then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So the results of this study can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of the Self Directed Learning model on learning independence and critical thinking skills of class X in biology subjects.
