Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe the implementation of the Drill Amtsilati and Sorogan methods in the teaching of Matn Al-Ajurumiyah at Darul Ulum Islamic Boarding School and to analyze their contribution to improving students’ Nahwu competence. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects consist of the teacher and Wustho Tsani students selected through purposive sampling. The study reveals that the Drill Amtsilati method effectively develops students’ grammatical thinking through repeated practice of i‘rāb patterns. Meanwhile, the Sorogan method enhances textual understanding through direct correction and explanation from the teacher. The combination of both methods results in balanced mastery between structural skills and conceptual comprehension. Research Limitation/Implications – The study is limited to one class and does not measure long-term effects on students’ text analysis skills. Nevertheless, it offers practical insights for developing integrated learning strategies in pesantren. This research proposes a combined traditional–modern model that is effective for strengthening Nahwu learning. الملخص تُدف هذه الدراسة إلى وصف تطبيق طريقة التكرار )DRIL AMTSILATI( والإقرءة على الأستاذ ( )SOROGANفي تدريس متن الآجرومية عهد دار العلوم مارغويوسو، وتحليل إسهامهما في تعزيز كفاءة الطلاب في علم النحو. اعتمدت هذه الدراسة المنه َ الوصفي الكيفي، مستخدمةً أساليب الملاحظة والمقابلة والتوثيق. وتألف مجتمع البحث من الأساتذة والطلاب في فصل الوسطى الثاني، الذين جرى لعملية اختيارهم وفق أسلوب أخذ العينات الهادف، نظًرا لانخراطهم المباشر في ا التعليمية.كشفت نتائ الدراسة أن طريقة الحفر التكرار النويي تُعِّزز بفاعليٍة ملَكةَ التفكير النحوي لدى الطلاب من خلال التدريب المتكرر على أنماط الإعراب، في حين تُسهم طريقة السوروغان في رفع مستوى الفهم المفاهيمي عبر التصويح المباشر والشرح الفوري من قِّبَل المعلم. ويُفضي تكامل الطريقتين إلى تحقيق توازن دقيق بين الإتقان الآلي وفهم النص، ا ُيمكن الطلاب من قراءةكتب التراث العربي واستيعابها
