Abstract

Abstract This study aims to examine the management of an integrative curriculum at Pondok Pesantren Darul Falah Bandar Lampung, which combines the Salafiyyah Curriculum, the KMI Gontor Curriculum, and the curriculum of the Ministry of Religious Affairs into a unified educational system. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis, and were analyzed using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that, at the planning stage, curriculum integration remains partial and is not yet supported by a comprehensive conceptual framework. At the implementation stage, the integrated curriculum has been applied within the boarding school system; however, it has resulted in a high learning burden for students and insufficient synchronization among learning materials. At the evaluation stage, assessment practices are still conducted separately, preventing the holistic measurement of student learning outcomes. These findings demonstrate that the success of curriculum integration is largely determined by the coherence of curriculum OPEN ACCESS3 management functions, including planning, implementation, and evaluation. Therefore, a structured curriculum management model is needed through stronger coordination among stakeholders, a more balanced learning load, and the development of an integrated assessment system to support the sustainable improvement of educational quality in Islamic boarding schools.
