Abstract

ABSTRACT The growth in the number of young investors in Indonesia is currently dominated by Generation Z and millennials, but many students still face internal barriers in the form of a lack of in-depth understanding of the Islamic capital market and concerns about investment risks. This condition is often complicated by the financial limitations of students, the majority of whom still depend on pocket money from their parents to meet routine needs while trying to set aside investment funds. Therefore, this study aims to analyze and explain the effect of investment knowledge, minimum capital, and pocket money both partially and simultaneously on the interest of students in the city of Bandar Lampung in investing in the Islamic capital market. The research method used is a quantitative approach with data collection through the distribution of questionnaires to 96 respondents of students from various public and private universities in the city of Bandar Lampung. Data analysis was conducted by structural Equation modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) using SmartPLS 4 software. This study evaluates the model through testing the outer model (validity and reliability) and the inner model to test the relationship between variables through the path coefficients and significance values. The findings showed that partially investment knowledge, minimum capital, and pocket money had a positive and significant effect on investment interest, while the minimum capital was found not to have a significant effect because the current initial capital policy is very affordable for students. However, simultaneously, these three variables have a positive and significant effect on students ' interest in investing in the Islamic capital market with a contribution value of 57.3%. Keywords: Investment Knowledge, Minimum Capital, Pocket Money, Interest In Investing, Students.
