Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pengelolaan arsip di Madrasah Aliyah Al-Hikmah Bandarlampung, yang meliputi pengorganisasian arsip, penerapan sistem sentralisasi, desentralisasi, serta sistem kombinasi dalam pengelolaan arsip. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data diperoleh dari kepala madrasah, kepala tata usaha, pegawai tata usaha, serta guru yang terlibat dalam kegiatan administrasi madrasah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan arsip di Madrasah Aliyah Al-Hikmah Bandarlampung telah berjalan cukup baik dan terstruktur, meskipun masih didominasi oleh sistem manual. Pengorganisasian arsip dilakukan melalui pengelompokan berdasarkan jenis arsip, seperti surat masuk, surat keluar, dan dokumen kegiatan, serta didukung dengan penggunaan buku agenda dan bindex. Penerapan sistem sentralisasi terlihat dari pemusatan arsip di bagian Tata Usaha sebagai pusat pengelolaan, sedangkan sistem desentralisasi diterapkan secara terbatas pada tahap awal pengelolaan arsip oleh masing-masing unit kerja. Secara keseluruhan, madrasah menerapkan sistem kombinasi antara sentralisasi dan desentralisasi yang dinilai cukup efektif dalam mendukung kelancaran administrasi. Namun demikian, pengelolaan arsip masih memiliki beberapa kendala, seperti belum optimalnya pemanfaatan teknologi informasi, belum adanya sistem digital yang terintegrasi, serta keterbatasan sumber daya manusia dan fasilitas pendukung. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pengembangan sistem pengelolaan arsip berbasis digital, peningkatan kompetensi pengelola arsip, serta penyusunan standar operasional prosedur yang lebih lengkap guna meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi pengelolaan arsip di madrasah. ABSTRACT This study aims to describe and analyze archive management at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Hikmah Bandarlampung, including the organization of archives, the implementation of centralization, decentralization, and a combination system in archive management. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of study. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data sources were obtained from the principal, head of administration, administrative staff, and teachers involved in school administrative activities. The results of the study indicate that archive management at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Hikmah Bandarlampung has been carried out quite well and systematically, although it is still dominated by manual systems. Archive organization is conducted by grouping archives based on their types, such as incoming letters, outgoing letters, and activity documents, supported by the use of agenda books and binders. The implementation of the centralization system is reflected in the concentration of archives in the administrative office as the main archive center, while decentralization is applied in a limited manner at the initial stage of archive management by each work unit. Overall, the madrasah applies a combination system of centralization and decentralization, which is considered quite effective in supporting administrative activities. However, archive management still faces several challenges, such as the limited use of information technology, the absence of an integrated digital archive system, and limitations in human resources and supporting facilities. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a digital-based archive management system, improve the competence of archive managers, and establish more comprehensive standard operating procedures to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of archive management in the madrasah.
