Abstract
This condition is suspected to be influenced by the instability of macroeconomic indicators such as the exchange rate, inflation, and Gross Domestic Product (GDP), which, from an Islamic economic perspective, require ethical analysis to avoid elements of usury, gharar, and speculation in pursuit of falah. Therefore, this study aims to examine the partial and simultaneous effects of the exchange rate, inflation, and GDP on FDI in Indonesia from 2010 to 2024 from an Islamic economic perspective. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with time series data from 2010 to 2024 sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the Ministry of Trade's One Data, and Bank Indonesia. The analysis model used was multiple linear regression with the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) method, processed using EViews 12 software. The main theoretical basis used in this study was Dunning's Eclectic Paradigm Theory (OLI Framework) to examine location advantages. Partial test results (t-test) indicate that the Exchange Rate variable has a positive but insignificant effect on FDI, Inflation has a positive but insignificant effect on FDI, while Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has a positive but insignificant effect on FDI in Indonesia. Simultaneously (F-test), the Exchange Rate, Inflation, and GDP have a significant effect on FDI with a coefficient of determination of 0.788653 or 78.86%. Conventionally, market capacity, as reflected by GDP growth, is the primary attraction for foreign investors in Indonesia, while exchange rate fluctuations and mild inflation are not major obstacles to investment decisions. From an Islamic economic perspective, these macroeconomic indicators are integrated as moral tools to realize the maqasid sharia (hifz al-mal). FDI must be directed toward productive, non-speculative sectors to support real economic growth and prevent the accumulation of wealth in the hands of a few, thus achieving equitable prosperity (falah). Keywords: Foreign Direct Investment, Exchange Rate, Inflation, and Gross Domestic Product, Islamic Economics.
